Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov Begins Self-Isolation, Putin Has No Recent Contact With Him

According to RNS, on 27 local time, Russian Foreign Ministry sources said that the country’s Foreign Minister Lavrov began to isolate himself due to contact with a new crown patient. Subsequently, the Kremlin said that Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet had recent contact with Lavrov.

Russian Foreign Ministry sources reportedly said, “Lavrov has begun to isolate himself due to contact with neo-crown patients, and previously planned visits and meetings will be postponed. Currently Lavrov is feeling well on his own.”

In response to the incident, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova later said on social media that all Foreign Ministry staff will be regularly tested for neo-crowning virus and will comply with the regulations.

Shortly after the news of Lavrov’s quarantine was announced, Russian presidential press secretary Peskov reportedly said that President Vladimir Putin had not yet had contact with Lavrov since his return from Greece.
