The Trump campaign announced a parting of ways with lawyer Powell.

The Trump campaign announced today that it will no longer be working with lawyer Sidney Powell.

In a statement, lawyers for the Trump campaign, Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis, said, “Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump legal team.”

Several media outlets reported that despite Joe Biden’s popular vote lead of over six million and his Electoral College victory with 306 votes to Trump’s 232, surpassing the 270 threshold for election, Trump continues to refuse to concede defeat, and Powell has also asserted that Trump overwhelmingly defeated Biden.

Giuliani and Powell, among other lawyers representing Trump, held a press conference on the 19th where they discussed election conspiracy theories, which were widely mocked.

Powell claimed there were issues of fraud with the voting systems and suggested that “communist countries’ money” might be linked to the hacking of the voting systems, with funds coming from Cuba, Venezuela, and possibly China.
