After 24 days in the ICU, Navalny is finally released from the hospital.

The Charité Hospital in Berlin, Germany, which treated Russian opposition leader Navalny, said today that Navalny was discharged from the hospital after more than a month of treatment. The West is convinced that Navalny was attacked by a Novichok nerve agent.

AFP reported that Charite hospital released a statement saying, “Based on the patient’s recovery progress and current condition, the treating physicians believe a full recovery is possible.

A spokesman for Alexei Navalny said that Navalny would “temporarily” remain in Germany to continue his treatment.

Navalny, 44, a Russian opposition leader and anti-corruption advocate, felt unwell after boarding a plane in Siberia last month and sought medical treatment there before being transferred to Berlin for treatment.

Navalny spent 32 days at Charité Hospital, including 24 days in the intensive care unit, before being discharged.

The German government said toxicology tests provided “clear evidence” that he was attacked with the Soviet-era military-grade nerve agent Novichok, the same nerve agent used against former Russian double agent Sergei Skripal in Salisbury, England, in 2018.

France and Sweden have also noted that their independent tests were consistent with the findings of the German authorities.

European leaders have demanded an explanation from Moscow authorities, with German Chancellor Angela Merkel saying that “only Russia can and must” provide answers about the nerve agent attack.
