December 5, Hon Hai Chairman Kuo Tai-Ming recently attended a press conference for the medical technology exhibition of his personal investment start-up company iCareDx, and expressed his views on the concept of “meta-universe” at the event.
Guo said that the meta-universe concept will take 5 to 10 years or even longer to be implemented, and there is still a long way to go for related applications.
Kuo also said that the virtual currency market is uneven and there is still a great deal of speculation. Virtual currencies and NFTs provide supply and demand for transactions in the virtual world, but the next step is to have a combination with the real world and the real economy in order to truly become integrated into the lives of the public. Kuo said that currency can never be decentralized and further explained that “mainstream monetary finance will not be able to be decentralized, and some virtual currencies will form a form of asset, but global finance cannot be replaced by a decentralized approach!”
