The Forgotten “Battle of the Assembly”

In the early days of the Cultural Revolution, people were familiar with the name “32111 Heroic Drilling Team”, and on September 26, 1966, the People’s Daily published the report “Another song of the great Mao Zedong Thought resounds in the clouds, 32111 Heroic Drilling Team extinguishes the fire to save the atmospheric well”, with an editorial “Mao Zedong Thought is the soul of the revolutionary people”. revolutionary people’s soul”, Xinhua News Agency broadcast a long newsletter “Mao Zedong Thought commanded us to fight – remember the 32111 proletarian revolutionary heroism drilling team bloody battle fire warriors”, in which it was written.

“One night during February this year, from the higher leading organs came a battle call from the great leader Chairman Mao to the oil front workers to find gas and oil. It was already four o’clock at that time. Can we delay the message until dawn? No! Not even a minute! Not even a second! All the workers immediately assembled urgently on the well site. Chairman Mao’s call to battle shook everyone’s heart. The cheers of ‘Long live Chairman Mao’ echoed in the starry sky. …… On the morning of the same day, they started to run over the mountains to the new well site, which was thousands of miles away. When they arrived at their destination, they didn’t ask for shelter or food, they threw down their backpacks and went to work in the dark, vowing to find more gas and oil fields for the motherland.”

None of these reports, editorials, or newsletters stated where the heroic deeds of the 32111 drilling team actually took place, or where they were actually “looking for gas and oil”. This was a “state secret” at the time of the “Third Line Construction”.

However, for many people in Sichuan Province, this is not a “secret” anymore.

This was the “Sichuan Oil War”, which was a great success.

I was fortunate enough to participate in that “Great War”.

After graduating from junior high school in 1964, I failed to go on to high school because of my so-called “family background” and became a “social youth” (a “Chinese characteristic” for out-of-school and unemployed youth at that time). This was a “Chinese” term for young people who had lost their education and were unemployed, just like the later terms “unemployed youth” and “laid-off workers”, which were never “in line with international standards”). The only “voluntary choice” for our “social youth” was to go to the countryside and become a Zhiqing. At that time, the leader’s call and social mobilization to go to the countryside was not for the youth to “receive re-education from the poor peasants”, but to “make a difference in a wide world”. Many of my classmates had already gone to the “communal forest” in the Daba Mountains after they lost their schooling. I also wanted to go, but my family strongly opposed it, and my most trusted teacher Li, who had been my junior high school class teacher for more than a year, also discouraged it again and again, although she did not teach us until graduation due to illness, but always cared about me as class president. She, like all good people, did not realize how severe the “class line” had become, and still did not believe that I would fail high school with my academic performance, and encouraged me to take the exam again. So, I studied at home for another year and took the exam again, and again received the blow of “not being accepted”.

Soon after, at the beginning of September 1965, the street office notified all the “social youth” to go to a meeting, and a recruiting cadre from the oil department gave an enthusiastic mobilization report, calling on all the aspiring youth to participate in the “Sichuan Oil War”, saying that The “second Daqing oil field” was to be won in Sichuan.

Daqing oil field! What a great and glorious “red flag of the industrial front” in the minds of the nation! What exciting news to take the “second Daqing oil field” in Sichuan! And we, the outcasts of the times, can participate in such a “big battle” and become the entrepreneurs of the “second Daqing oil field”, which makes us We were very happy and excited. When I came home, my family was happy too. At that time, jobs in the city were also hard to come by for people like us, who were from “bad families”. Suddenly there was a chance to become a worker, so how could we not seize it?

On September 8, 1965, all of us from the Wanglongmen Street Office, carrying our luggage on our backs, set out from the entrance of the street office and walked along the road to the Caiyuanba Railway Station to say goodbye to our hometown. We took the train to Neijiang, and then transferred to a large truck sent by the Petroleum Bureau to the ravine in Rongxian County (then part of Neijiang Special Zone).

After getting off the truck on a rough road that had just been paved with gravel, we were given a letter of condolence from the Party Committee of the Road Construction Division, printed in red letters, with the popular song “I Offer Oil to the Motherland” on the other side of the letter. In this “Letter of Condolence”, which I have preserved to this day, the Party Committee of the Road Construction Division did not spare any good words, saying that we had said goodbye to our hometowns and relatives and come to join the oil meeting team, “which is the concrete manifestation of the revolution, the practical action of preparation for war, and really deserves to be a great people educated by the great country, the great Party and the great leader”, however However, as soon as many girls saw the barren mountains around them, they sat down on their bottoms on their luggage bags and let out a loud cry.

At that time, all we could think of was that we had become workers and changed our “class composition”, and that we were oil workers who had “dedicated our youth to the search for oil” and were the “second Daqing oilfield”. What a proud entrepreneur! Many people, especially young students like me, who were full of good illusions, never thought that they were just temporary workers with a low status (so low that they were worse than the youths, whose time in the mountains and countryside could still be counted, but no one recognized the working years of temporary workers).

Our job was to do the “pre-drill work” for the real oil workers before drilling – to build roads and level the well sites. In fact, except for a few bulldozers, air compressors, and more transport vehicles, the labor was still based on the same hand-digging and shoulder-lifting tactics that were common in the 1950s and 1960s. There are seven or eight engineering brigades in the whole division, mostly temporary workers recruited from Chongqing, Chengdu, Rongxian, Weiyuan, Ziyang and other cities. Chongqing has the most people. I was in the second brigade, excluding a squadron is Rongxian people, the rest are all from Chongqing city (now Yuzhong District), according to different street offices into squadrons, by the street offices with cadres as squadron leaders, remember as if the streets of Qixinggang is a squadron, Side Village (defend the road?) is two squadrons, two junctions is three squadrons, Shangqing Temple is four squadrons …… we Wang Longmen is six squadrons. Seventh squadron is Caiyuanba street. The eighth squadron is the Rongxian squadron. Other brigades, the third brigade is also from the city’s central district, the fourth brigade has people from the city’s central district, Nanan District and Rongxian, Weiyuan, the fifth brigade has people from Chongqing’s central district, Jiulongpo District …… because it is organized by street office district, the personnel is uneven, such as our second brigade a squadron of young girls, while our six squadrons are men and women, young and old, the small About just a minor soon after graduation from elementary school, the old seems to have passed the retirement age, do things look a little old.

The scale of the war was not small, with battlefields set up all over Sichuan. A road construction division is obviously not enough, so the establishment of a few drill before the engineering regiment, in fact, with us is the same nature, in addition to the infrastructure command, also recruited from Chongqing, a large number of “social youth”.

Because we are to do “pioneer”, so the place to go are no roads in the wild mountains, scattered in the mountains of the farmhouse, we lived in the farmhouse (equivalent to the farmhouse living room, according to the custom of the farmhouse, only men allowed to live in the hall, not let women live), lived on top of the farmhouse barn, also lived in the cattle pen “Upstairs” …… with the extension of the highway, but also have to constantly move to live, sometimes there is no nearby farmhouse or farmhouse is not enough to live, you have to build a shed, with the local kind of wide bamboo gabions woven into the sun mat for the wall, linoleum for the roof. When living in a farmhouse, the night lighting is kerosene lamps, reading under the lamp for a long time, the nostrils will be very black by the oil smoke. Later to live in the shed with electric lights, unified power generation, to 10 p.m., with the roar of the generator suddenly stopped, the lights are extinguished. At night, they used flashlights to go out, and the supply of flashlights and batteries suddenly increased dramatically in the nearby township fields. Sometimes at night after a conference or watching an open-air movie, you can see a string of flashlights winding along the mountain paths.

We started building the road near Dongxingchang in Rongxian County, and the road gradually extended up to Daxuangshan, known as the Western Trunk Road. Our main labor every day, is to move the mountain and fill the valley, cut down the bushes and thorn bushes, dig out the soil to carry away, several people work together to pry the boulders down the deep ditch with steel brazier, too big rocks, we have to make a good artillery hole, fill with explosives, put the gun to blow it up. The gunhole is still made by hand (only the operation team of the direct office is using the wind drill to make the gunhole), generally the girl palms the steel brazier, the boy swings the two hammers, the two hammers with soft bamboo handles are swung like a bow, and the skilled ones can also swing different patterns, accurately hitting the steel brazier head which has a positive small contact surface, making a crisp sound. The whole site will often have the sound of clanking hammering.

When the sky is clear, to noon, the blue sky under the hawk hovering, often hear the mountains everywhere sounded sharp whistles, that is the squadron’s security officers urged people to take cover the warning signal. After a while, you will hear the sound of a landslide explosion one after another, which is in the cannon to open up the mountain and blow up the rocks. After I was transferred to the brigade department as a propagandist, I had to run up and down the mountain squadrons (to collect good propaganda articles and some statistics submitted to the party committee, such as how many Mao reads, how many insights to write and so on), sometimes from those just blown up, still emitting the smell of smoke on the pile of rocks across. At that time, of course, there was no concept of “ecological environment”, and when we saw the devastated mountains in our hands, our hearts were filled with the pride of builders. At that time, we used electric detonators to fire the cannon, so we didn’t hear of any dangers such as dumb cannon, but there were still accidents. The gunner’s class was said to be from Daqing, a regular worker, and the clothing issued was different from ours (we had black cotton jackets, they were gray). It was only later that we noticed that there was a difference in rank between us and the contract workers in terms of labor insurance and benefits.

The livelihood was basically guaranteed because the oil sector had transport vehicles. But before the road was repaired, we had to carry the rice, some in basins, some in pants with legs tied, each with his own skill, like “ants moving” to the station on the mountain. The water used was well water or mountain stream water. Therefore, the daily task of picking water in the mess hall was very heavy.

On the rest days, the older ones would go to the nearby village farms to drink (but they were often criticized). I went to the village field mainly to send letters. Because I often received books, newspapers and magazines from home or books from the mail-order department of the Xinhua Bookstore, the shy-looking young man from Dongxingchang who spoke as quietly as a girl (remember his surname was Xiao, and we called him Xiao) soon got to know me well. Our arrival added a huge workload to him, and he had to run around every day delivering newspapers and mail to our squadron sites in the mountains, but he was very dedicated and never slacked off. I wonder if he still lives on Dongxing Field today?

Washing clothes in the small river ditch in the mountains is also something special. The water was very cold and clear. The trees on the hillside next to it were filled with the very pleasant chirping of unknown birds plucking the strings of the piano. I have a deep impression that once in the small river ditch to wash clothes, a girl in the squadron sang the popular song at that time: “The sun, the sunshine, the eagle, the wings fly. The highland spring light is infinite, how can I not sing ……” song with the mountain wind echoed in the valley, seems to be more moving than the Caidan Zhuoma singing. That scene, really some intoxicating.

The most difficult part of life at that time was bathing. Once in the small river ditch with a sun mat around a hut for everyone to take a bath, but the water was too cold, and when the weather changed, it soon did not work. When we lived in a farmhouse, a girl could not stand it and secretly took a bath by boiling water in the farmer’s stove, and was scolded severely by the farmer’s mother when she found out. Probably think that has the suspicion of blasphemy Zao Wang Bodhisattva, right? I was later transferred to the brigade department as a propagandist, went to Rong County city on business (to buy propaganda supplies), only in the county bathhouse to take a beautiful bath.

Rainy day not to work, called “Zha Yu Ban”. But “Zha Yu Ban” is not to let you stay in the house to play, at that time it is “prominent political” to get very hot time, not to work on the organization to study, read newspapers, study documents, study Mao, discuss … … in short, “Zha Yu Ban”. …in short, “no rest for the mind”.

More characteristic was the “winter training”. Soon after our visit, it was winter. In winter, the weather often prevents us from working for a lot of time, so we will mainly study indoors. Before winter came, the leaders and some Daqing workers kept releasing rumors that the winter training was great, not to die but also to make you take off three layers of skin, so that people shuddered. It turns out that the winter training is a kind of whole and tormented people, there are two hands, one is the whole, the usual some “crooked wind and evil spirit” on the line to criticize a pass (sometimes send a few sentences of grievance will also be on the line for “dissatisfaction with reality”, chatting a little on the diet, clothing The biggest charge at that time was “sabotaging the war”, and the highest punishment was the struggle meeting, which often criticized those who were usually unruly “pricks The highest specification punishment was the struggle meeting, which often forced the usually unruly “pricks” to bow their heads and confess their sins (individual “serious cases” were also “expelled from the meeting team” on the spot in the struggle meeting and sent home). The other hand of the winter training is to hold, called “evaluation of merit”, each person must be found by everyone for him worthy of praise, even if it is an eccentric nature of the very poor people, we have to dig deep to find him even a little bit of good to add vinegar to praise a pass. Such a fight a pull, carrot and stick, indeed, can be tossed into obedience, “listen to listen to the party”.

After evaluating the merit of the good to assess the advanced, the selection of “will battle assault hand”. In our team, young people are basically “bad family background”, adults are even worse, some are reformed, reeducation through labor released from prison, there are families were “killed, shut down, control” (suppressed, sentenced to imprisonment, was put on “In short, either the family or the person himself always has something In short, either the family or the person himself always has some “stain”. As a result, there is not a single CPC member in our temporary workers, and only a few leading cadres and a few people in the gunnery class are CPC members in the whole brigade. So the evaluation of advanced can only be in such a large number of short children inside the selection of high children. I was physically weak and had a poor workforce, but I had good labor dynamics and could play a role in literature and propaganda (I basically wrote and drew the art slogans and wall newspaper headers at the squadron site), so I was also honored to be elected as a commando in the June 5th battle, and received a hardcover notebook as a prize.

As for the higher level of honor, is the evaluation of the “war zone pacesetter”, “war zone pacesetter” will enjoy by the leadership to wear red flowers, a large tree, special trees, everywhere to preach (a combination of praise and self-praise) treatment. In our road construction department, remember to be named the war zone standard soldier there is a driver of a car driver Liu Zhucheng, is an honest man, car to where will consciously repair the road, do a good job. There is also a long braided typist, her husband and her surname, is the propaganda officer of the trade union of the department, very modest, however, in the opening of the General Assembly to promote her advanced deeds, when the husband’s will be on the side of the podium without avoiding suspicion to lead the slogan of learning from her.

From the big city to the depths of the mountains, long without hearing the hustle and bustle of the city, there will be some special feelings. In my diary, I have this entry

November 7 (1965), sunny, Sunday.

This morning, we were working when we suddenly heard a slight but special booming sound, getting closer and louder, and suddenly we all heard that it was the sound of a car we hadn’t heard for a long time, and someone called out, “The car is coming!” The whole site let out a shout of joy, and people ran in the direction of the highway. We stood on the slope and looked in the direction of the sound of the car, which was getting louder and louder, and the car was coming along the road we had built with our own hands! We couldn’t tell you how excited we were to build the highway with our own hands!

I also wrote a few lines of poetry that day to record the mood at that time, but unfortunately did not save it.

At that time, our wages were evaluated like the rural community members (peasants), and different grades were graded in each detachment according to the size of the labor force and the performance in labor. I can’t remember why we were not paid for the first two months (it must have been explained to us at that time, but I can’t recall), but we were given a number of meal tickets for each person, and each person was allowed to borrow the necessary living expenses (I only borrowed 5 yuan, many people borrowed 10 or 20 yuan). The first paycheck was on November 25, and the following long-forgotten entry can be found on the payroll list (November 24), which I have preserved and printed on blackened recycled paper

The top leaders of the central government attached great importance to this “Sichuan Oil Battle”, and Zhang Wenbin, the vice minister of the Ministry of Petroleum who had participated in the Daqing Oil Battle, was appointed as the general commander of the Sichuan Oil Battle and the head of the battle leadership group. The leading group of the Sichuan oil war, the war command and the political department of the war were located in a ravine called Caojiashan near Xinchang, about 20 kilometers north of Weiyuan County, and a piece of “dry barricade” bungalow was built on the slope of the mountain (the thick walls were made of a kind of hard stone with cement, which was said to be no cheaper than building brick walls). This area, then called “headquarters”, was named Red Village. The bottom is the guest house, canteen, up the distribution of the telephone switchboard, printing plant, the war headquarters offices …… war leadership team in the uppermost a small quadrangle. In addition to the mountain road leading to the top, there is a long 300-step staircase leading to the auditorium of 1,000 people on the top of the hill. On the roof of the auditorium stands a cement casting of “Red Village”, which was inscribed by Vice Chairman Peng Zhen when he visited this place (after Peng Zhen was defeated, it was replaced by Lin Biao’s (After Peng Zhen was defeated, it was replaced by Lin Biao’s “Four Greats” inscription). A song sung by the propaganda team at the headquarters at the time reads

Mao Zedong Thought to arm.
Red village auditorium to welcome the sunrise.
The oil workers’ battle
Every red heart is directed to the Party!

Later, the Road Construction Department built a base on the hill next to Dongxing Field, and named it Red Flag Village.

All the mines and construction sites were written with such exciting slogans as.

“Vicious battle vicious battle again vicious battle, must take the big oil field!”

“If we do not complete the task of finding oil, we will die on the drilling platform and be buried in the well field!”

“Six years of bitter and vicious battles, all for the sake of protecting the war! Everything for seven billion, everything to find oil fields!” (“Seven billion” refers to seven billion cubic meters of natural gas production.)

After I was transferred to the brigade as a propagandist, I wrote many of these slogans with lime water on some sections of the slope rock wall or dirt wall.

For this Sichuan oil war, Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Li Fuchun, Peng Zhen and other Party and State leaders gave relevant instructions. The main spirit of these instructions was conveyed to the workers who participated in the battle. In a very simple work notebook that I kept, folded and bound with white typewritten paper (I had been transferred to the Second Brigade Department as a propagandist), there were some main contents, which were the main points of the report of the “headquarters teleconference” held by the Sichuan Oil Battle Command on March 13, 1966. The first part of the report is Zheng’s speech on the situation in the war zone, and the second part is Chen’s (Chen Li Zhong, Director of the Infrastructure Department of the Ministry of Petroleum, Vice Chairman of the Sichuan Oil War Leading Group) conveying the “instructions of the national leaders on the Sichuan War”.

  1. The biggest pressure on Sichuan: get the oil out. The national leaders gave instructions on six occasions on the issue of finding oil in Sichuan.

The first time, when the Party Committee of the Ministry reported to the Party Central Committee, Chairman (Mao) said: “We must get a little oil and gas in Sichuan.”

The second time, General Secretary Deng (Xiaoping), Li Fuchun, and Bo Yibo came to the Weiyuan mine in Sichuan, instructing, “Sichuan is getting gas, but not getting oil is not getting it.”

The third time, when General Secretary Deng visited the Daqing exhibition, he instructed, “If you cannot find oil in the mainland, all the past things will not count.”

The fourth time, when Peng Zhen visited the Weiyuan mine, he instructed, “The gas problem has been solved, but the oil must be solved. Poor mines must also be engaged.”

The fifth time, in the National Conference of Industry and Commerce, General Secretary Deng instructed: “The Ministry of Petroleum Industry does not care how much oil you get elsewhere, if you do not get oil in Sichuan, it will not count.”

For the sixth time, Peng Zhen brought Vice Minister Kang (Shien) to talk: “One hand to engage in rich mines, the other to engage in poor mines, a well a ton of oil must also engage.”

Minister Zhang said, “If I can’t find oil, I won’t have the face to meet the central leadership.” Minister Kang instructed, “According to the central instructions, the past does not count, everything starts from zero.”

We must fight viciously, fight viciously again, and fight to the death to go up. This year, Sichuan will also be on 100 rigs. This year, only four people left inside the Ministry to look after the family, “the whole family” are to Sichuan.

2, Minister Zhang said: or according to the past eight battlefield, three oil and four gas a line. The way to do oil: 100 rigs in Chuanzhong “hundred war”, focus on the poor mine, now dry. Within two years and then on two hundred units, starting next year, two thousand (wells) a year, four years to hit it 10,000 …… hit it a turn over, the sky is dark, the ghosts cry out!

Do not engage in oil out, related to national security, related to the six hundred and fifty million people and the world revolution, related to the Ministry of Oil’s red flag is raised high or at half-mast. (These are not my words, nor are they the words of ordinary people, but they came from Beijing anyway.

This year, we started to test out a method. Quickly drilling wells. Sichuan’s third five-year plan to get less than three million tons of oil will not be able to deliver. Central instructions, whether you get oil or not, but also to get a few hundreds of tons of oil refinery. The slogan “everything for 7 billion, everything to find oil fields” was changed backwards. The ministry said, “Daqing found a big oil field with the President’s idea, Shandong found a big oil field with the President’s idea, can’t you find a big oil field in Sichuan with the President’s idea?”

In my diary, there is also a record of this telephone conference two days after the afternoon of March 15, our second brigade in the construction site (eight squadron just completed the roadbed) held a “march pledge meeting”, excerpted as follows.

2:30, the General Assembly began. Captain Feng first made a battle mobilization report. ……

Then Wang gave the order to each squadron to march. Before giving the order a squadron came on stage to report on the high production record they had set in order to meet the conference. Technician Wang gave the order after giving some account of the production situation. The cadres of each squadron lined up on stage in turn to receive the order, and after receiving it, they all led the whole team to raise their fists and swear to the Party, and the comrades expressed their determination to respond to the Party’s call: “Fight fight fight! Vicious battle vicious battle again vicious battle!” “Fight to the death, poor dry hard, the head can be broken blood can flow, the knife mountain dare to go up, the sea of fire dare to break through, even if they die of exhaustion on the West Main Line, buried under the roadbed, but also to give all the strength for the oil war!” The squadrons also said that they had completed their tasks ahead of schedule.

After the order was given, the representatives of each squadron rushed to the stage first to vote and challenge each other. The squadron leader of the first squadron jumped on the table, the third squadron more quickly and neatly all stood up, the front row held high the letter of determination, the squadron leader picked up the microphone and led everyone to read the letter of determination with a loud arm. A few representatives of the eighth squadron in a hurry, climbed to the front of the inner slope of the rock wall, standing in the “marching oath” below the big red letters, high above, holding a microphone, loudly read the letter of determination, challenge. All the comrades of the fourth squadron sang in unison “to compare who is advanced, to see whose energy ……” The venue was boiling with enthusiasm, the group was excited, a burst of slogans shook the valley… …

Engineer Chen from the headquarters made a speech. On behalf of the headquarters congratulated the success of the General Assembly, the determination and energy of comrades made a high evaluation, and spoke about the current situation in the war zone, asked everyone in order to make greater contributions in the future, must be the University President’s writings, in the word “use” hard work, all highlighting the political.

Nowadays, when people look at these accounts, most of them will feel ridiculous. How can construction be so unscientific, so unproductive, so “show”? However, in those days, such a situation was very normal and common. At that time, there was a popular song in Sichuan oil war zone, which was not known from Daqing.

Fish depend on water, arrows depend on bow.
The fish depends on the water, the arrow depends on the bow, the wind breaks the wave by the east wind.
The oil workers are fighting a big battle.
The victory depends on Mao Zedong!

When people sang such a song, very few people would have questioned the assertion that “victory depended on Mao Zedong”. Likewise, few people would have questioned the question, “Can’t you find big oil fields in Sichuan with Chairman’s ideas? The question of “Can’t you find big oil fields with Chairman’s ideas? The great oil war was a combination of the “Great Leap Forward” of the 1950s and the “politics of prominence” of the 1960s. History has already answered the question of what will happen if we build in this way. During the Cultural Revolution, Zhou Enlai rebuked two representatives of the 32111 drilling team, two of the “Five Good Pioneers of the Ministry of Petroleum Industry”, Peng Jiazhi and Wang Cunyou, who had become the heads of two rival mass organizations in the Sichuan oil war zone during the Cultural Revolution, calling them “two The “Great Leap Forward” was in fact a “great leap forward”. In fact, they were not the ones who ordered the Great Leap Forward, nor were they the ones who started the Cultural Revolution, which caused the 10-year catastrophe. The hat of “loser” is really too big for them.

A friend who participated in the “Great War” with me in the second brigade of the Road Construction Division, wrote this with emotion after reading the first draft of this article I wrote: “I think back in the day, a large number of enthusiastic people in the second brigade to participate in the “Great War”.

“I think back then, a large number of enthusiastic young people thought they were dedicated to the revolutionary cause of socialist construction, but in fact they were just a group of civilian workers, that is, they were regarded as peasant-type temporary workers. That was the success of idealistic education back then …… Remember the wall newspaper we jointly compiled, “Letters from Home”? That letter from home sent from Chongqing, which letter was not truly full of revolutionary slogans and revolutionary enthusiasm. It can be seen that the successful propaganda of the Great Industrial Learning Day back then actually laid a solid ideological foundation for the later Cultural Revolution, and I think it was historically inevitable that with that prominent political work and learning experience, China would eventually move toward the Cultural Revolution.”

Nowadays, most of the deep mountain construction sites that were in full swing back then have returned to tranquility, and those roads we built have fallen into disrepair and are rarely passed by vehicles. I have been in the western trunk line of some highway side slopes with lime water brush written in large letters on the natural long gone. Some of those damaged ecological environment has been difficult to restore the original appearance. It is said that the once prominent houses of the Red Village headquarters were not even wanted by the farmers (they could not solve the problem of water and electricity supply), and were completely in ruins. The “Great War” has been forgotten. However, it cost a huge amount of money and countless people’s youth, leaving behind lessons that no one has seriously learned?
