Suspicions abound in assassination of Haitian president, commander of guard arrested on suspicion

Haitian police are pursuing the possible involvement of the president in the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse, and today arrested the commander of the presidential guard, Dimitri Hérard, whom police believe to be a major suspect.

The Washington Post (The Washington Post) reported that the Haitian nation was very unhappy with Hérard after the murder of President Jovenel Moïse, and people questioned why the commandos were able to infiltrate the president’s residence and get away with it so easily.

It is not yet clear what charges the Haitian prosecution will use against Ellar, the contractor prosecutor Claude (Bed-ford Claude) currently only told the Washington Post that “the justice system wants him to answer questions.

In addition to Ellar, Haitian police announced Wednesday evening that they had arrested two suspects, one of whom is former Haitian police chief Dragon (Gilbert Dragon); the other, known as Corvington (Reynaldo Corvington), is accused of providing a place for the raiding party to stay before the crime and providing them with a car siren to cover their tracks.
