After President Trump and the first lady announced on October 2 that they had tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19), Trump entered a military hospital that day. The doctors’ treatment of him is also being revealed.
Trump, who has been diagnosed with a coronavirus infection, is currently receiving treatment at a military hospital based on the anti-viral drug Raltegravir, according to Trump’s doctors, the White House said in an Oct. 2 statement. The White House also said that Trump’s entry into the hospital was a precautionary measure.
The White House doctor, Dr. Conley, said Trump is also taking zinc, vitamin D and aspirin, which help strengthen the immune system. He also said that Trump is in good health, does not need oxygen, and has been using the antiviral drug “Radicevir”. Sources say that Trump has a slight fever and cough. His wife, Melania, said she has a mild headache and cough.
Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. said that at the doctor’s request, they provided an emergency supply of an antibody drug being tested to boost the immune system. Although the drug has not yet received final approval from the state, an 8-milliliter dose has been administered to Trump. According to the pharmaceutical company, preliminary tests show that the injection improved symptoms and reduced the number of viruses with no serious side effects.
Trump previously posted a video of himself on Twitter, where he looked tired, but said he was doing well. He then tweeted again, thanking those who supported him.
Coronavirus-19 has killed more than a million people worldwide, with 1,033,987 deaths from coronary pneumonia officially recorded in various countries as of this writing.
