The Yonhap News Agency reported that according to the South Korean government’s Wuhan pneumonia vaccination response promotion group on the 16th, there were 6,670 new cases of side effects after vaccination with Wuhan pneumonia vaccine during the two days from the 14th to the 15th, including 20 cases of death after vaccination, but whether the deaths were related to the vaccine has yet to be investigated.

Among them, there were 24 cases of severe allergic reactions, 255 cases of significant adverse reactions, admission to intensive care units, disabilities and sequelae, and 6472 cases of milder symptoms such as swelling and pain at the injection site, fever or headache.

According to the statistics, South Korea has been administering vaccines since February 26, and the total number of side effect cases is 53,773, with a total of 15,827,645 people receiving vaccines as of 0:00 on the 16th, and the percentage of side effect cases is 0.34%. Among the side effect cases, according to the proportion of vaccine recipients, AZ vaccine accounted for 0.42%, Pfizer vaccine accounted for 0.21%, and Jiao Sheng vaccine accounted for 0.19%.

The total number of deaths after vaccination in South Korea was 261, including 159 deaths after Pfizer vaccination, 101 deaths after AZ vaccination, and 1 death after Jolson vaccination; if the cases of serious side effects and reported untreated deaths are included, the total number of deaths after vaccination in South Korea was 350.

There were 51,071 cases of mild side effects, which means that 95% of the side effects were mild. According to the Yonhap News Agency, the South Korean government’s Wuhan Pneumonia Vaccination Response Promotion Group on the 15th, the number of people who have been vaccinated in South Korea has exceeded 13 million.
