Shanghai Customs announced on Oct. 26 that an 88-carat super diamond from Paris, France, which was exhibited at the 3rd China International Import Expo in Shanghai, completed customs clearance procedures on the same day and will soon be used to meet Chinese consumers on the Expo stage.
The 88-carat black diamond, with 57 facets, originally owned by the medieval European Karloff family, and named after the noble family name, was listed as one of the world’s top five black diamonds, and later became the heirloom of the French Karloff jewelry brand, rarely exhibited publicly over the years.
