Biden was in Delaware on Sunday to attend a Day of the Fallen event, which also marked the sixth anniversary of the death of his son, Joe Biden, who died of brain cancer after serving in Iraq. At the event, Biden reiterated that the United States will not turn a blind eye to human rights issues and allow China or Russia to violate them.

Biden will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Geneva, Switzerland, on June 16 to seek to restore “predictability and stability” to U.S.-Russian relations.
