Sage Zhao
Pseudo-Shu had a Zhao Wengui who was good at divination, and he was always good at fortune and calamity, so the Shu people called him Zhao Sage.
Wang Hui, a warrior general, served under the late lord of Shu and had a lot of achievements. He was reckless and fierce in character, and when the latter ruled, he was ostracized by the powerful ministers, and was not promoted for a long time, so his position was low and he held a grudge.
When the Duke of Zhao saw him, he was very shocked, so he asked his left and right to withdraw and told him, “Today I saw you with a murderous look on your face and a sword hidden in your arms trying to assassinate others. However, you will be the governor of three counties and a section in the future, only later, and it is not advisable to harm people and bring disaster.”
Wang Hui was very surprised, so he took out a dagger from his pocket and threw it on the ground, crying and saying, “Today I wanted to stab this kid and then kill myself by drawing my neck, but I didn’t expect to meet you to enlighten me and explain, so I won’t do so brutally from now on.” After saying this, he paid his respects frequently and said goodbye to Duke Zhao. Wang Hui soon became the governor of the county and was promoted to be the envoy of Qin Prefecture. After the fall of pseudo-Shu, his life ended in Xianyang.
The chancellor Fan Qi saw Wang Hui with his own eyes, and Wang Hui told him what he had experienced.

Tang Guo Leun
Wang Yan, the latter lord of the pseudo-Shu, built Shangqing Palace on the site of the mansion he got hereditarily from the Tang Dynasty, and hung the portraits of the eighteen emperors of the Tang Dynasty in the main hall dedicated to the deity Laojun. Some people who could see through things said that worshipping the emperors of the Tang Dynasty was a harbinger of submission to the Tang Dynasty.
Hu Xiulin of the Si Tian Supervisor prepared a calendar and submitted it to Wang Yan for review and approval, moving the leap month to the first month of the year Cuxu. A hermit also submitted a calendar, calculated by the Xuanming method, moving the leap month to the December of the year Yiyou, and the two argued because of the disagreement.
Later, the calendar of the Tang Dynasty was still used, and the minister close to the left and right said to Wang Yan, “The leap month of the Tang Dynasty should be used.” Then the leap month was changed to December. The people selling calendars on the street said, “There is only one month.” The former Shu Kingdom fell on December 28th of that year.
Hu Xiulin was a young superintendent of the Tang Dynasty and later served in the former Shu. He compiled the Yongchang Zhengxiang calendar, which was the most accurate in the world, but it was not accurate in determining the leap month because the change of dynasties could not be easily calculated by ordinary people.
Note: Wang Yan, the pseudo lord of Shu, assumed the throne as the crown prince and surrendered to the Later Tang Dynasty in 925, and was killed in the following year, resulting in the death of the former Shu.
