The “2020 China 5G+Industrial Internet Conference” will be held from November 19 to 21 in Wuhan, Hubei province, with many new 5G technologies and application scenarios such as data acquisition and perception, high-definition video, machine vision, and digital twin, said Liu Liehong, vice minister of MIIT on November 26.
Liu Liehong made the statement at the press conference of “2020 China 5G + Industrial Internet Conference” held by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and Hubei Provincial People’s Government in Beijing on November 26.
In recent years, the development of China’s industrial Internet has entered the fast lane, and the integration of innovative applications has been deepening. According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), a total of 690,000 5G base stations have been opened nationwide, and the industry is actively exploring “5G+industrial Internet”, with more than 32,000 base stations in industrial applications, extending the application scope to the core link of production and manufacturing.
Liu Liehong said, “With the theme of “Wisdom Connecting Everything and Creating the Future,” the conference will be held in both online and offline modes, aiming to gather the wisdom of all parties, discuss the integration and development of “5G + Industrial Internet” ideas and measures, share the practice of 5G key technologies in the industrial field, and discuss the integration of 5G with artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain and other innovative development paths.
