TMZ has recently revealed the full text of the Bill and Melinda Gates’ court divorce filing. The divorce papers are 12 pages long, and from the signatures and signatures, Gates and Melinda have each formed a team of top U.S. attorneys, and each of the divorce lawyers on both sides is a big deal, some having handled the divorce of the world’s richest man, Bezos.
Judging from the big names on both sides of the divorce lawyer team, an international divorce battle of the century will be watched by the world in the coming years. This divorce will no longer be about the two of them, but a highly visible point of interest for the world’s eating public. The lineup of lawyers they have hired is so strong that it is obvious that many factors outside of the marriage have been taken into account.
Melinda’s lawyers are from the core partners of three very well-known firms in the United States. One was from a Washington State practice and two were from New York State practices.
The first is Sherri Anderson of Law Offices of Sherri M. Anderson Inc. Sherri Anderson specializes in the division of assets and valuation of assets involved in matrimonial matters, and has a very comprehensive portfolio of accountants, financial advisors, valuation specialists, estate tax planning specialists, trust specialists, business attorneys, psychologists, and other professionals.
Melinda’s second attorney is Robert Stephan Cohen, a senior attorney at Cohen Clair Lans Greifer Thorpe & Rottenstreich, LLP, a New York City-based attorney with four children and a wealth of experience who has run and completed seven marathons. A great man.
He specializes in finance, real estate, public service and entertainment law. He is also a lawyer who has represented two of Trump’s former wives in their divorce cases and is extremely adept at handling divorce cases for celebrities while minimizing the social impact.
Melinda’s third attorney is Bruce Birenboim of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, who practices in New York State and specializes in business law, mergers and acquisitions, antitrust, insurance, international arbitration, and securities regulation. The firm is also very good at tax planning and tax advice. Thus, Melinda has had a two-pronged and thorough consideration, covering almost every area that intersects with Gates.
Gates has also retained five attorneys from three law firms, all of whom are professional attorneys from Washington State, the first of whom is Ted Billbe of the Law Office of Ted D. Billbe, PLLC.
Gates’ second attorney is Wendy Goffe of the law firm Stoel Rives LLP, founded in 1907. Wendy Goffe specializes in real estate, gift and estate tax planning, trust administration, and nonprofit taxation, and has a national reputation as an influential expert in estate tax planning.
Gates’ other three attorneys are Ronald Olson, Robert Denham, and Eric Tuttle of the law firm Munger Tolles & Olsaon LLP. The firm’s practice is very comprehensive, covering antitrust, finance, real estate, tax law and other areas. Ronald Olson is well known in the wealthy world and is a director of Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway.
Robert Denham specializes in corporate mergers and acquisitions, having represented Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway in its acquisition of Precision Castparts, and is particularly adept at fighting for his clients’ interests with tax planning, while Eric Tuttle specializes in legal disputes in the patent and humanities fields.
One of the more interesting arrangements is that Melinda’s lawyer Sherri Anderson and Gates’ lawyer Ted Billbe are the lawyers representing both sides of Bezos’ divorce case, but the roles are reversed, Sherri Anderson represented the male side last time, while Ted Billbe represented the female side last time, and the two sides are facing each other again. There are many things to see in the legal world.
