The Communist Party of China (CPC) has been ruling the country with seething public discontent, and the authorities’ habitual thinking of “maintaining stability and preserving power” has made them see all people as potential enemies. A few days ago, CCTV showed a joint “anti-terrorist” drill between public security and enterprises in Beijing, in which the “terrorists” were set to be wage earners. Netizens questioned whether this was an open attempt to intimidate human rights defenders.
The CCTV video report was published on CCTV.com on April 15 and has been removed. But a few days ago, some netizens rehashed it and uploaded it to various social media platforms (related video link), which sparked concerns among netizens.
In the report, CCTV said that on April 13, Beijing police held a “special anti-terrorism drill” in conjunction with Chaoyang Joy City Shopping Center. The police said in the video that one of the objectives of the drill was to “strengthen the joint defense mechanism with the security forces of key business districts and key merchants.
The video shows a man holding a placard saying “Give me back my hard-earned money” walking into the mall and shouting slogans such as “Give me back my hard-earned money” and “Give me back my project money” and using the placard to knock down the security guard who came forward. The security guards who came forward to stop them were knocked down with the placards. CCTV reported that a man at the mall was “armed and injured” and used “wooden sticks” to beat people, “causing chaos at the scene” and so on. The mall’s so-called “joint defense mechanism” was then activated, and a large number of security guards and public security officers armed with riot control equipment arrived and subdued the man.
The CCTV blatantly set up the payroll workers as the target of the “anti-terrorism drill”, which triggered heated discussions among netizens.
Some netizens said, “I thought it was a rumor, but it turns out that the vulnerable people who are asking for wages are really defined as terrorists, and the people who have no money and no power are potential terrorists. They have this imaginary enemy people, isn’t that what they mean?”
Some netizens also said, “What’s scary is this psychological presumption” and “In the Great兲 Dynasty, it is not a crime not to pay back money, it is the wage collectors who are terrorists.” Another netizen said bluntly, “For people who want to collect their salaries and ask for debts, this is the same as telling them to say, “Die this way. How malicious is the intention.” Another person said, “Which x x went to the shopping center mall to ask for hard-earned money project money? The show to the people is to tell you not to make trouble, make trouble and arrest you, because the mall has an audience.”
Many netizens pointed directly to the Chinese Communist Party system: “This is the target of China’s anti-terrorism, unique in the world,” “migrant workers collecting wages are terrorists, Taliban, Hamas are friends,” “So, in China, what should really terrorize Therefore, in China, it is not the ‘terrorists’ but the ‘terrorist denominator’ that should be terrorized”, “the people’s public security forces are the people, the people’s army is the people’s massacre”.
Other netizens pointed out, “For the Chinese Communist Party, which has always persecuted the people through the tyranny of state terrorism, this is a matter of course! The collapse of such a criminal regime, which has made the people its enemy, is inevitable. The problem is that the selective blindness of the outside world in the previous 30 years and the evil behavior of the Western panda-embracing politicians who appease the CCP have prolonged the CCP’s small life. Now, even these politicians have begun to wake up. Thus, the life of the Chinese Communist Party, which is full of evil, will soon be over”.
