Get a free cow with your vaccination! Thousands of Thais clamor for appointments

According to Reuters, the Mae Tsang district in northern Thailand, in order to encourage people to get vaccinated, will start a weekly lottery next month to draw lucky people who are vaccinated and give a calf, and this lottery will last for 24 weeks.

Boonlue Thamtharanurak, the governor of Mae Sot district, also told Reuters that many people have made appointments for the vaccination since the announcement, and the number has increased from a few hundred to thousands, “We all like cows here. The report pointed out that Mae Tseng district will start administering the vaccine on the 7th of next month, and the reason why locals are scrambling to make appointments is because cows can be exchanged for cash.
