Looking for a way out? Anhui Liuan was sealed residents smashed the door of the unit to escape

On May 19, one new case of asymptomatic infection was reported in Liuan City, Anhui Province. And many neighborhoods and residential buildings have taken the strictest of containment measures, locking and welding building doors shut and not allowing people to leave their homes. Informed netizens commented that some residents, fearing the absolute quarantine measures imposed by the authorities, went so far as to smash the doors of their flats to escape. Netizens said that the authorities have closed off the residents to their own destruction, and that the people have seen it through and gone to find their own way out.

According to local media reports, on May 19, there was one new case of asymptomatic infection in Liuan City. As of 12:00 noon on May 19, a total of 7 confirmed cases and 11 asymptomatic infections have been reported in Lu’an and Hefei, Anhui Province, including 5 confirmed cases and 11 asymptomatic infections in Lu’an and 2 confirmed cases in Hefei.

Both Hefei and Lu’an have completed the first round of nucleic acid testing and are conducting the second round of nucleic acid testing. Authorities said the nucleic acid test results were negative except for the confirmed cases and asymptomatic infections that have been reported.

Currently, there are seven medium-risk areas in Anhui province, including six in Lu’an and one in Hefei.

Local netizens posted on Weibo to express their concern: “Lu’an, hurry up and get better, I feel so close this time, I heard 120 late at night, and many neighborhoods were sealed on the way to work, although the vaccine has been given and nucleic acid tested three times, but I’m still panicking inside.”

The video released by netizens shows that a closed cell in Liuan City, Anhui Province, is empty, a resident who was closed in the unit, smashed the door of the unit and escaped; another resident jumped out of the window to escape.

Another video shows that on May 18, more cells were closed in Liuan City, Anhui Province, and some of them erected temporary fences to seal off the cells. But some residents still managed to jump over the cell fence and escape from the closure.
