U.S. Senator Blasts Biden: China Is the Number One Threat to America

U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden recently pointed out that the biggest threat to the U.S. is Russia, and the next biggest “competitor” is China. Republican Senator Tom Cotton (R-CA) hit Biden on the air, saying that China has stolen intellectual property rights, planted spies and made military threats, criticizing “China is the number one threat to the United States.

In an interview on CBS News’ “60 Minutes,” Democratic presidential candidate Biden was asked “who is the biggest threat to the United States,” to which he responded, “I think the biggest threat facing the United States right now is Russia, because Russia is undermining America’s security and alliances,” and then pointed out that the next biggest competitor is China.

According to media reports, Cotton said on Fox News, “China is without a doubt the number one threat to the United States! He said that China has for decades stolen American jobs and plants, stolen American intellectual property rights, and planted spies at several American universities and around the world, and “of course, China’s military power threatens American interests and our allies in the Western Pacific.

Cotton emphasized that while Russia still poses a threat, Trump has moved to increase NATO’s defense spending and withdraw from outdated arms treaties that disadvantage the United States, as well as repatriate Russian spies.

Referring to Biden’s recent claim that Hunt’s laptop scandal was Russian disinformation, Cotton dismissed the claim that “they have no proof that these things came from Russia.

In addition to expanding arms sales to Taiwan with the goal of prolonging Taiwan’s self-defense, the United States should also make a clear and unambiguous commitment to assist Taiwan in defending itself in the event of an attack.
