The veteran actor Tamura Masakazu, who acted in the period drama “Sleeping Mad Shikuro” and the criminal drama “Furuhata Renzaburo”, is rumored to have passed away on April 3 at the age of 77.
Masakazu Tamura was a powerful actor in the Japanese entertainment industry, and together with his brother Takahiro Tamura and his younger brother Ryo Tamura, they were known as the “Three Tamura Brothers”. He was no stranger to Taiwanese audiences, and his classic work “Renzaburo Furuhata” has been performed in a series of dramas for over 10 years since 1994. In recent years, he has also tried his hand at a number of popular dramas, including “Stubborn Dad” and “Dad”, and is a representative of stubborn dads in Japanese dramas.
In the Japanese drama “Concerto”, he even became the love interest of Takuya Kimura and competed for Rie Miyazawa’s heart. He has been involved in theater, film and stage plays, but in recent years, his health has been in red, and in 2016, after filming a special episode of the series “Matsumoto Kiyohari”, he stopped working for a year due to deteriorating health, and there were frequent rumors of his death.
