Celebrate the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, pass on a military parade

Although the Chinese Communist Party does not plan to hold a military parade for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party on July 1, Chinese people have recently filmed the formation of Communist helicopters forming the word “100” flying low over Baoding and Tianjin, with fighter jets in support, seemingly in preparation for the celebration. At present, the Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese government have not made any explanation or comment on the images taken by the public, and the photos and videos posted on the Internet can still be seen and have not been deleted.

According to the Central News Agency, Chinese military aircraft drills are close to a military parade, and the Communist Party’s centennial appears to be marked by an aerial breakdown. According to the report, sources in Beijing told the Central News Agency that in the face of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party, the Chinese Communist Party does not have plans to hold a traditional ground parade, like the parade in front of Tiananmen Square in Beijing and at the base of Zhu Rihe. But a formation of military aircraft passing over the celebration grounds as a performance item is a possibility. The source said, this is like the Western countries in some national celebrations, will arrange for warplanes in a fancy formation with colored smoke, in front of the crowd show. The Chinese army “did not take the fancy route” and passed by helicopters in a formation of “100”, also in reference to the parade of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party on Oct. 1, 2019.

According to information from Chinese social media platforms such as Sina Weibo and WeChat, a Chinese citizen in Baoding, Hebei province, on the 16th filmed 29 helicopters flying overhead in a formation of the Arabic number “100”, followed by three helicopters in the shape of “one”. In the area of Tianjin, 15 Chinese J-20s were photographed by Chinese people in three inverted V formations, flying at low altitude and slow speed. The inverted V formation is a common parade formation in Chinese air parades. In addition, there are photos from an unknown source that have been widely circulated by Chinese netizens showing that the Chinese Communist Party has made an armband for air force pilots with the words “100th anniversary of the founding of the Party” sewn on top of the original “Air Force Airmen” armband.

According to the report, the Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese government have not provided any explanation or comment on the footage taken by the public, and the photos and videos posted on the Internet are still available and have not been removed.

The CPC Central Committee held a press conference on March 23 to announce that it would hold a congress to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the party on July 1 in the name of the “CPC Central Committee” and that General Secretary Xi Jinping would deliver a speech, but no further details of the congress were revealed at the time.
