Pence: U.S. High Tax Policy Will Benefit Communist China

On May 17, former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence wrote a media article analyzing the Biden administration’s high tax policy as a “Communist priority” because it would lead to the exodus of American jobs to China to line the pockets of the Chinese Communist Party.

Writing on the Fox News website, Pence wrote, “In 2017, we passed the historic Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, which provided more than $3.2 trillion in tax relief for American families and businesses.”

Thanks to this act, he said, “in just a few months, our economy took off like a rocket, more than 7 million new jobs were created, unemployment fell to its lowest level in 50 years, and more than 10 million people were taken off welfare in the largest eradication of poverty in modern history.”

“Cutting taxes on American employers was the key to bringing jobs and factories back to America, and it worked. The first two administrations caused America to lose 60,000 factories, (while we) added 12,000 new factories because employers no longer bore the high tax burden.” He said.

Biden unveiled the $2 trillion American Jobs Plan, which proposes massive tax increases on employers, and Pence said Biden’s high tax policies would lead to slow job growth, stagnant wages and rampant outsourcing that would again put American workers at a foreign competitors at a disadvantage.

Such high taxes, Pence wrote, would lead to economic disaster, and “the economic recovery from the pandemic could grind to a halt, hitting hard Americans eager to return to normal after a difficult year.” “Job growth would gradually stall, capital investment would flow away, fewer American-made products would be made, manufacturers would subcontract to overseas factories and blue-collar communities would lose their jobs.”

He believes that the ultimate beneficiary will be the Chinese Communist Party , “China will gain thousands of jobs as U.S. employers escape the heavy tax and regulatory burdens of Biden America.” “The wage increases enjoyed by American workers will disappear, the dreams of millions of middle-class families will be dashed, and our jobs, factories and prosperity will be moved abroad.”

Pence stressed that it was “very bad” that the Communist Party of China would be one of the biggest beneficiaries of Biden’s tax increase. He said it was a cruel irony that a communist country would be more attracted to business by the United States than the country’s founding fathers could have ever imagined.

Finally, Pence suggested that “Congress must free our nation from this economic self-inflicted injury and firmly reject the so-called ‘American Jobs Plan.'” He called for keeping taxes low so the economy can rise and drive the nation forward.
