Qinxuan Pan, a Chinese-born MIT doctoral student suspected of shooting and killing Yale University graduate student Kevin Jiang, was arrested in Montgomery, Alabama, six weeks before his arrest. It is known that six weeks before his arrest, Pan Qinxuan rented a house under the false name of “Henry Cai” ( Henry Cai ), and during the period of renting the house, there was no difference, “completely a normal person”.
According to the Boston Globe, Pan Qinxuan rented a room in a 14-room apartment from the Harding family in Montgomery six weeks ago, and lived with the Harding family without any problems, “a completely normal person “Until the federal marshals (The US Marshals Service) entered on the 14th morning and arrested Pan Qinxuan for murder.
Witnessed Pan Qinxuan was taken out of the rental house, Harding family neighbors Williams (Erin Williams) said that day Pan was taken out at about 6 a.m., hands and feet were handcuffed, the federal marshals asked the oncoming traffic to pause, will take him to the police car across the street.
Police later named Pan as a “person of interest” in the death of Kevin Chiang, a 26-year-old master’s student at Yale University’s School of the Environment, who was shot seven times in the New Haven neighborhood around 8 p.m. on Feb. 6; law enforcement agencies have been hunting for Pan for months across the country, and he was last seen with his family in Georgia on Feb. 11. He was last seen driving with his family in Georgia on February 11, and on April 8, the Marshals, in conjunction with Interpol, issued a Red Notice for him.
Police issued a search warrant for Pan on charges of car theft after he swindled an RV from a Massachusetts dealership the morning of the murder and replaced the original Massachusetts dealership plates with a Connecticut commercial plate.
