The United States has announced new measures to restrict travel to the United States by members of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and their immediate family members, tightening the validity of their visas from ten years to one month and limiting them to single-entry travel.
The U.S. restriction on travel to the U.S. by members of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and their immediate family members was announced Wednesday (Dec. 2), effective immediately. An emailed statement from a U.S. State Department spokesman said that the validity of visas for members of the Communist Party to travel to the U.S. has been shortened from 10 years to one month, and that they can only enter the country once. The spokesman said the new measures have always protected the United States from any adverse influence from the Chinese Communist Party.
The emailed statement added, “(The U.S.) has allowed the Chinese Communist Party free and unrestricted access to U.S. institutions and businesses for decades, but U.S. citizens in China have never had the same privileges.”
However, there have been comments that the new measures will be difficult to implement because Washington has had difficulty determining who, other than senior CCP officials, is a member of the Chinese Communist Party.
In response, New York attorney Gao Guangjun told the station that the U.S. has a system of honesty and integrity, and has always trusted the declarations of the other party, but that if someone conceals his or her Communist Party membership, he or she could face serious consequences if found.
The U.S. has laws that punish you for concealing your membership in the Communist Party. The United States has corresponding laws to punish you, you false or fraud or concealment, once found out, you must be very punished.
Gao Guangjun also said that the U.S. law on immediate family refers to: the current marriage spouse and minor children under 21 years of age. Therefore, the population affected by the new rules is very large. He also said that many people are looking for excuses to join the CCP, but these arguments should not be used as a shield.
Gao Guangjun: We should never have an excuse that says, I had no choice but to join the CPC in order to survive in the CPC, and some people are even more ridiculous: Oh, I was against the CPC, I hated the CPC, I had no way to survive in China before I joined the CPC. I despise the claims of such people even more. On the one hand, they say they are against the Communist Party, but on the other hand, they cooperate with the Communist Party and make lots and lots of profits from it.
According to Gao Guangjun, the new U.S. measures are a consequence of the CCP’s long-standing disregard for U.S. tolerance and tolerance. The U.S. has been appeasing the CCP for many years, hoping to change the vicious expansion of communism through free trade and social development, but now the CCP is proving that it has gone too far down the dark road and is now trying to mend its ways.
The New York Times quoted sources as saying that U.S. officials will learn and determine party affiliation based on visa applications and interviews, which is expected to have a significant impact on political and business leaders.
In Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said at a regular press conference Thursday (Dec. 3) that the incident was an escalation of the crackdown on China by extremist anti-China forces in the United States, urging the United States to abandon its hatred of the Communist Party of China and its abnormal psychology, adding that all countries, including Americans, are welcome to visit China for tourism, study and exchange and cooperation.
