To further guide the prevention and control of new coronavirus pneumonia (this virus), the Chinese State Council has revised the “New Coronavirus Pneumonia Prevention and Control Program” in response to the joint prevention and control mechanism of the new coronavirus pneumonia outbreak.
The program points out that to strengthen the management of inbound personnel, close contacts and other isolated medical observation, requiring that nasopharyngeal swabs should be collected for nucleic acid testing during medical observation in isolation, and two nasopharyngeal swabs should be collected at the same time when released from isolation, respectively, using different nucleic acid testing reagents for testing, and the two tests are in principle carried out by different testing institutions. Nucleic acid testing should be conducted once on day 2 and once on day 7 after release from quarantine, during which time health monitoring should be done, mobility should be reduced, personal protection should be done when going out, and gathering activities should not be attended.
According to the information released by the Shanghai Leading Group Office of Epidemic Prevention and Control, according to the relevant requirements of the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Prevention and Control Program (8th Edition), Shanghai further strengthens the health management of new arrivals with the following specific measures.
From 00:00 on May 16, the city implemented 14 days of isolation observation for new arrivals after continuing to carry out 7 days of community health monitoring, implement self-measurement of body temperature twice a day in the morning and evening, do not go out unless necessary, especially avoid going to crowd gathering places, must wear a mask when going out, do not participate in gathering activities, and seek medical attention when fever, cough and other uncomfortable symptoms appear. During the period of isolation observation and community health monitoring, six times of nucleic acid testing is implemented; for those who are judged to be of key concern, the frequency of nucleic acid testing is increased appropriately.
