Florida Governor DeSantis: Pardon all Floridians prosecuted for wearing masks or social distance

The Daily Mail reported on May 13 that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) appeared on Laura Ingraham’s Fox News show Wednesday where he spoke with the Carnevale couple, owners of the gym where he has been arrested four times. The couple refused to enforce the CCP viral restriction rules at the gym they operate.

DeSantis announced on the show that the couple will receive clemency and that all Floridians charged with the CCP viral restriction rule will receive probation.

The Daily Mail stated that Florida is the first state in the United States to issue such clemency.

In Miami-Dade County alone, 1,882 citations totaling $760,600 were issued and the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department issued 215 tickets totaling $109,650, according to a report in the Orlando Sentinel late last October, accounting for 45 percent of the $1,940,162 in fines tallied by DeSantis’ office. In Naples (Naples), 3,996 tickets were issued for $789,762, or nearly 41 percent of the total.
