Tensions at UN: U.S.-German-British-led human rights meeting in Xinjiang staged, CCP calls for cancellation and urges boycott

Last night and this morning, the Chinese Communist Party called on the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom to cancel Wednesday’s human rights video conference on the topic of the Communist Party’s crackdown on Uighur Muslims in the Xinjiang region, and called on UN member states not to attend. The Chinese Communist Party has condemned the conference for several days and for the first time asked the countries to cancel it.

According to AFP news from the UN, the Chinese Communist Party called for the cancellation of the conference on the subject of Uighurs. According to a statement from the Chinese Communist Party’s diplomatic mission to the UN, it condemned that “this event is based on pure lies and political bias.” The statement added that Beijing “urges the joint organization to immediately cancel this event, which interferes in China’s internal affairs, and calls on other member states to reject it.”

According to the Communist Party’s statement, it assured that “the current situation in Xinjiang is as good as it has ever been in history, with social stability, rapid economic development and harmonious coexistence among people of all ethnic groups.”

According to AFP, the U.S. recently characterized the Communist Party’s building of concentration camps in Xinjiang and its repression of Uighur Muslims in the region as “genocide.”

According to the Communist delegation, the U.S. claims to defend the human rights of Muslims, but the world is known for the fact that the U.S. has killed many Muslims in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria, and that the U.S. and its followers have killed the largest number of Muslims.

At Wednesday’s meeting, the U.S., German and British ambassadors, Uighur representatives, and the non-governmental organization Human Rights Watch are expected to attend and give speeches, AFP said.
