Biden’s attack on Trump’s epidemic-prevention policy was met with a rhetorical question: “What about you?”

As the countdown to the U.S. presidential election begins, Democratic candidate Joe Biden continues to criticize President Donald Trump’s Wuhan pneumonia (a new coronavirus disease, COVID-19) prevention policy and is asked, “What about you?” The two candidates have sparred and debated face-to-face numerous times, according to Fox News.

According to Fox News, the two presidential candidates have exchanged numerous firefights and two face-to-face debates, with Biden always attacking Trump’s epidemic-prevention policies, such as tweeting his condemnation of Trump for turning his back on the nation and trying to paralyze people with the epidemic. When Biden was asked about his own epidemic-prevention policy, Biden continued to blast Trump, rarely mentioning his own specific programs.

Many commentators in the social media noted the lack of detail in Biden’s epidemic-prevention plan. Alex Berenson, a former New York Times reporter who is also an author, asked Biden on Twitter today, “What’s your plan again? More city closures? Please be specific.”

While campaigning in Delaware earlier this month, Biden spent about 25 minutes talking about what steps he would take to prevent the epidemic if elected. He said he would emphasize the importance of wearing masks, invest in rapid screening reagents, increase production of personal protective equipment and trust in science; he would work with governors and officials across party lines and in every state to organize public health and the economy; and he would ask Congress to submit a bill by the end of January to allocate resources where they are needed. He also worked with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to reopen the nation’s campuses, facilities, and businesses.

Biden has repeatedly emphasized that he does not want to impose a total lockdown, only the virus.
