The New York Daily News reported on May 10 that Rahul Vohra, a famous Indian actor and blogger, died in an Indian hospital on May 10 after contracting the New Coronavirus.

According to foreign media, Rahul had mentioned in a post on social media before his death that he “could have lived if he had received better treatment.

His wife Tiwari Vohra later posted on social media platforms, saying, “Everyone knows Rahul has passed away, but no one knows how he left.”

She also said she would continue to express her dissatisfaction with the hospital care.

Rahul, who was famous for his short comedy films during his lifetime, attracted a huge following on major social media platforms and tens of millions of people have watched his videos.

In the last video he recorded before his death, Rahul lashed out at the treatment he received at a hospital. The hospital was facing overcrowding and a lack of resources because India was suffering from a second wave of the epidemic.

Rahul said that oxygen is very valuable, and without timely oxygen supply, patients get dizzy and are in great pain. However, but when the patients want to call the medical staff, they are late to show up, or even have to wait for an hour or more, and the patients have to survive the emergencies by themselves.

In addition to criticizing the hospital, Rahul criticized India’s epidemic control in another posting before his death, saying, : “If I could have gotten better treatment, I would have lived.”

India’s epidemic is rapidly worsening and there is a desperate shortage of oxygen cylinders to treat the sick.
