Controlling the dominant discourse in Hong Kong’s cultural sphere

Sun Guangqi, 58, matches the profile of Sun Guangqi, director of the Department of Economic Construction at China’s Ministry of Finance.
According to independent Chinese media personality Gao Yu, the move of Beijing officials south to Hong Kong to take charge of the cultural sector shows that the authorities’ restrictions on public opinion and media in Hong Kong are only getting tougher. She said.

The future of Hong Kong in many areas are controlled by Beijing officials
