As reported by The Gateway Pundit on Friday, a video shows a Black Lives Matter/Antifa mob, illegally blocking traffic in Plano, Texas, as a tall white man gets out of his truck and confronts the mob, telling them to get the hell out of the road! A left-wing protester pulled out a handgun. Later, the man who tried to clear the road was beaten up and charged by the left-wingers, while the local police chief refused to arrest the creator of the illegal traffic jam.
The Gateway Pundit reported on Monday, May 10, that Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton intervened in the matter. In a statement, he said, “I directed my senior deputy to contact the Plano police chief, who heard even worse than the video shows. “
Paxton wrote in the statement that the police chief told a couple of different stories.” First, the police chief said the weapon drawn was not a handgun, but a pepper ball gun. But in another conversation, the chief said it was a Taser. In a recent Facebook post, police officials declared that it was an “electronic control device. Paxton said, “Whatever it was, the police refused to pursue the leftist who brandished the weapon, and no charges were filed against him.”
Paxton went on to write, “The second problem was the police chief’s eagerness to exonerate the rioters. The chief said, ‘The situation must be understood and these people must be negotiated with. Do you expect us to make mass arrests of protesters? You know that’s not going to happen.'”
Paxton said that too many police officers “are being held hostage by politically motivated leaders, weakened by politically hung agitators, and now the police have become accomplices to liberal lunatics. I will never allow beautiful Texas cities and communities to become Portland, Seattle or San Francisco because of the unfettered left.”
