Tesla’s global sales boom definitely exceeded many people’s expectations, according to the latest news, Tesla’s entire capacity for the second quarter has been sold out, and now the second quarter has only just passed more than a month.
Tesla’s second quarter production capacity has been sold out
Sources familiar with the matter said that the current market demand for Tesla’s electric cars is very strong, the second quarter of the car capacity has been sold out, such a situation in the history of the car is really rare. For the Model S and Model X models, this is to be expected. But the Model 3 and Model Y for the general public have been ramping up production, but demand still exceeds supply.
And speaking of today’s oversupply, Tesla CEO Elon Musk also showed his awe: “We’re seeing a real shift in consumer perception of electric vehicles; our demand, too, is at an all-time high. Typically, demand for electric vehicles is lower in the first quarter; but in the first quarter of this year, we saw demand exceed what we’ve seen before.”
And from the data, in the first quarter of 2021, the global automotive market achieved 1.128 million new energy vehicle sales, the Tesla Model 3 with a global hot-selling 126,716 results, while the Model Y delivered a total of 56,064 units in the first quarter of this year, the production of Tesla electric cars reached a record 180,338 units in the first quarter of this year.
Even so you don’t forget that this is still the data obtained under the premise of oversupply of capacity, if the capacity is not limited it should be a very scary figure.
