Fear of falling into the criminals tracking tool? Foreign media listed AirTag 3 major security blind spots

The company’s main focus is to help you find small things like keys and wallets that are easy to lose, but now privacy issues are also a concern.

The Washington Post reported that AirTag has three major safety blind spots, the first is that AirTag’s tracking is very accurate. The reporter tested the pairing of AirTag with a colleague’s iPhone, then put AirTag into his backpack and moved around San Francisco on his bike, but his colleague could still accurately grasp his whereabouts.

He also found that the AirTag alarm sound was too low, even smaller than the bird chirping outside the window, and only lasted 15 seconds.

The third point is that if an unknown AirTag is tracking you, Apple will also pop up a notification on the phone through the iOS system, but if the person being tracked is using an Android phone, this mechanism will be completely invalid. At present, Apple has a series of anti-tracking measures explained on its official website, but AirTag still raises the concern of many women and children groups.
