The remains of a 22-year-old Chinese interpreter were found in a bush in Ecuador

On the afternoon of May 7, local time, the local fire department in Ecuador informed that the body of a Chinese female translator who went missing in the area on May 4 has been found.

According to a previous report by local Ecuadorian media, a Chinese female translator named Lou Yao Yu was lost on her way home on May 4, 2021 local time, and her company’s video surveillance captured the last image of her leaving the company camp alone.

On the evening of May 5, firefighters found Lou’s passport, keys, backpack and other personal belongings, as well as her sneakers, in the woods near her company’s camp.

Local time on May 7 afternoon, the local Ecuadorian fire department issued a notice that firefighters found a female body in the bushes next to a trail on Lou Yao Yu’s route home, confirmed by the local police, the body is none other than the missing Lou Yao Yu.

It is understood that Lou Yao Yu is 22 years old and has been working as a translator for a mining company called Jin Guo (phonetic) since November 2020.

According to Oriental Daily News, the police said there were no violent injuries on the body of the deceased, the cause of death is still under investigation.
