A Chinese-American woman who entered the country five years ago with another person’s passport and then operated an organized prostitution business in several places was arrested and pleaded guilty to the crime as another person and received two years of probation, during which she was found guilty of identity theft by law enforcement officials and was brought to justice on new charges.
A 31-year-old New York man, Xu Zhang, was arrested two years ago for helping his girlfriend, Gao Xing, remove evidence of human trafficking while she was in prison, and after pleading guilty, the crimes his girlfriend was involved in surfaced.
According to a federal court in Middle Tennessee, Gao Xing was suspected of an international human trafficking case in August 2016, when French police first learned that she had entered the United States on March 9 of the same year with a British passport with the name “Jin Renqing” (YanHo Ching).

At the time of her arrest, In-Cheong Kim presented her British passport, but the other bank cards in her wallet bore the name “In-Cheong”; she was indicted by a grand jury on June 12, 2018, on one count of operating a prostitution business, and a year later, she was indicted under the name “In-Cheong Kim. A year later, she pleaded guilty under the name “In-Cheng Kim” and was sentenced to two years of supervised probation and required to register as a sex offender for 12 years.
Federal agents investigated Interco’s case further and discovered that she had contacted the real Jin Inqing via text message in January 2016, informing her that she would pay $20,000 to use her documents and travel to the United States to reunite with her ex-boyfriend; Interco stated in the text message that she “would face jail time if she used her (Chinese) passport “
Xinggao was re-arrested on Aug. 22, 2019, on one count of unlawful use of passport, two counts of providing false documents to the federal government and two counts of aggravated identity theft, and was subsequently indicted by federal prosecutors in Middle Tennessee; her new boyfriend, Zhang Xu, accompanied her to court on Sept. 9 of the same year, and while in custody, she asked Zhang Xu to delete all of her contacts on WeChat with “Emhurst “On November 1 of the same year, her new boyfriend, Zhang Xu, accompanied her to court.
On November 1 of the same year, she hanged herself from a ceiling light fixture in her cell at the Kentucky Detention Center and was pronounced dead that night; federal agents later found evidence that her boyfriend had helped her tamper with and conceal her crime during an examination of her prison communication records, and she was arrested and brought to justice.
