The Gateway Pundit reported May 5 that Daryl Doles, a 50-year-old black man, broke into a Baltimore store early Tuesday morning and violently beat two elderly Asian women with a cinder block, and the man was later arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault. It is unclear whether the attack is being investigated as a hate crime.
The attack reportedly occurred just after midnight at a liquor store in Baltimore, in the 2000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. Surveillance video shows two Asian sisters, ages 66 and 67, preparing to close for the night when Doles forced one of the women into the store and, with a cinderblock, struck her repeatedly on the head. The other woman rushed over to help, and Doles then began to beat both women together and beat them outside the store. The two women tried to fight back, but they did not beat the black man.
The two women were later taken to a nearby hospital, where a family member said one of the victims had a black eye and 25 stitches in her head.
