A black woman yelled “get off the train, you don’t belong here” at an Asian woman in a Brooklyn-bound subway car, and then slapped her in the back of the head. The New York City Police Department is looking for the black female suspect, and the city’s Hate Crimes Unit is also involved in the investigation.
Police said the case occurred at about 4:15 p.m. on April 19, a D train heading toward Coney Island (Coney Island); the victim was a 50-year-old Asian woman, when the black woman involved in the case approached the victim to make the above behavior, but fortunately the victim was slapped and not injured.
The victim got off at the 9th Avenue subway station a short time later, and the female suspect also got off at the same station and fled the scene. According to police surveillance video, the suspect was wearing a dark green sweater, Dreadlocks and a light blue medical mask.
The police are also looking for the suspect involved in a series of hate crimes that occurred in New York recently.
