A Pennsylvania judge has issued a very favorable opinion for Team Trump, arguing that those trying to prevent the state’s election results from being certified have a “good chance of success.
On November 27, Judge Patricia A. McCullough issued an opinion that was widely hailed by President Trump’s supporters as a victory for him in a key swing state. The opinion blocked any further steps to certify the election.
In addition, the judge added that the lawsuit centered on the preliminary election certification ban and that its “petitioners appear to have established a likelihood of success.”
The opinion also noted that the matters in the petition “have attracted statewide and national attention” and “go to the heart of the electoral process”.
“The overriding consideration in issuing an emergency preliminary injunction prior to the evidentiary hearing scheduled for November 27, 2020 is the urgency of statewide and national concern raised in this case. The issues raised by petitioners go to the heart of the electoral process and the constitutionality of how the citizens of this Commonwealth vote, not only for the offices for which petitioners are running, but also for the offices of President and Vice President of the United States of America, as well as statewide, regional, and local offices.”
