U.S. writer criticizes FBI’s “double standard” and calls on Republicans to rebuild the FBI

Writing in the English-language Epoch Times on Monday (May 3), American author and talk show host Dinesh D’Souza said there is no longer any justice in the FBI’s blatant pursuit of two standards of law enforcement against extreme Democratic supporters and extreme Republican supporters. He argued that Republicans should make rebuilding the FBI one of their campaign goals.

A translation of Dusa’s article follows.

The FBI has long been an admirable symbol of government police departments, hunting down bad guys and enforcing the law neutrally. Like the FBI in the movie “The Untouchables,” Special Agent Eliot Ness leads his loyal and armed operatives in a heroic battle against organized crime groups.

Well, forget “The Man in the Iron Mask”! Apparently, the FBI today is corrupting from the top. It seems to have started under President Obama, continued under President Trump (Trump), and now has unfortunately gotten worse under President Biden. It is time for conservatives and Republicans to start thinking about outlawing the FBI.

The FBI’s treatment of the January 6 radicals is in stark contrast to its treatment of Antifa and Black Lives Matter protesters.

The FBI relentlessly pursued the Jan. 6 protesters, in many cases dealing only with Trump supporters who were in Washington, D.C., or rallying on the Mall, but who did not enter the Capitol. Those arrested were treated as domestic terrorists and apprehended in raids, although most of them were only charged with trespassing or entering government institutions without proper permission. Non-violent offenders were treated with the same brutality as violent offenders. To this day, the FBI is still releasing images – a grandmother here, a teenager there, asking for the public’s help in tracking them down – of individuals who still have any connection to the Jan. 6 incident.

In contrast to this concentrated effort to catch people, the FBI has shown little or no interest in dealing with Antifa and the “Black Lives Matter” radicals. The only person killed on Jan. 6 was a Trump supporter, a Capitol Police officer who shot Ashli Babbitt in the neck. Over the course of several months, Antifa and the “Black Lives Matter” militants became more violent. The FBI did not raid them, did not systematically arrest them, and did not spread “wanted” images on social media.

Now, compare this to the second thing: The FBI recently raided Rudy Giuliani’s home and office, while New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s home or office was not raided. The ostensible reason for the raid was to find evidence that Giuliani had violated the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

However, Giuliani’s attorney noted in a statement released that he was willing to sit down with the FBI and the Biden Justice Department and show them that they had not violated the law. In addition, Giuliani has been providing clear evidence to the FBI for months, and has confirmed it through text messages and emails. And not only is Hunter Biden not registered as a foreign agent, but he is also suspected of involvement in child pornography, money laundering and elaborate Biden family criminal activities, including selling access to his political contacts in exchange for millions of dollars in personal gain.

Both the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice have expressed no interest in Hunter Biden’s problems. As a result, Giuliani seems to conclude that the agency’s actions are “a clear example of a corrupt double standard”: “One is aimed at top Democratic figures who have blatantly committed crimes but are not being held accountable, such as Hillary Clinton, Hunter Biden and Joe Biden “; and the other is for “Republicans, who are the main supporters and defenders of President Trump”.

Giuliani further revealed that the FBI and the Justice Department had gained access to his email database in late 2019 without notifying him. This means that during the impeachment of President Trump, while Giuliani was advising his client, President Trump (a relationship that is fully protected by attorney-client privilege), the FBI violated the law under the pretext of investigating Giuliani and Trump for possible violations of the law.

Likewise, the FBI’s extreme diligence in pursuing Giuliani stands in stark contrast to its inaction in the case of New York Governor Cuomo. Cuomo is currently embroiled in two separate scandals, one involving multiple women accusing him of sexual harassment; the other involving his direct involvement in a scandal over the cover-up of nursing home deaths caused by his policies.

According to the New York Times, the Cuomo administration’s liability is much more serious than previously known due to the deliberate underestimation of nursing home deaths over a five-month period. These deaths could have been prevented. At the direction of the Trump administration, the U.S. Navy dispatched a medical ship, the USS Comfort, to New York to treat non-coronavirus patients and ease the burden on New York hospitals.

However, Governor Cuomo refused the Trump Administration’s help and instead ordered New York nursing homes to accept large numbers of COVID-19 (Chinese Communist Virus) patients, causing the virus to spread among the vulnerable nursing home population, resulting in thousands of unnecessary deaths.

Then, when the Trump administration asked for data on New York nursing homes, Cuomo instructed his state health officials, including Health Secretary Howard Zucker, not to release the true number of deaths to the federal government, state officials, or the public. Cuomo also suppressed a study that made the data public and blocked two letters that Zucker’s health department sent to the state Legislature.

Although Giuliani’s crimes are unclear, Cuomo is guilty of a clear abuse of power that not only resulted in deaths, but also amounted to a statistical “cover-up. Once again, the FBI is nowhere to be found, and the reason for its inaction seems to be that Cuomo is a Democratic governor who seems to enjoy immunity as far as today’s FBI and Biden’s Justice Department are concerned.

Enough is enough! Justice will cease to be justice when the law is no longer neutral or being applied equally. I certainly know that Biden will not reform the FBI. therefore, I strongly urge the Republicans to abolish the FBI, shut down the agency, and then rebuild it from the ground up. Please make this a key goal of the 2022 and 2024 campaigns.
