Standoff for hours! U.S. FBI agents shoot and wound a man with a gun outside CIA headquarters

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) says at least one agent shot and wounded a man carrying a weapon outside the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) headquarters, ending an hours-long standoff that lasted 3 days.

The FBI issued a statement saying the shooting occurred around 6 p.m. and that an agent was involved in the incident. The suspect “emerged from his vehicle armed and was restrained by law enforcement officers,” the statement said.

The FBI said the wounded man had been taken to a hospital for treatment, and details of his condition were not known, and said it was investigating the incident.

Several foreign media outlets noted that the shooting occurred after an hours-long standoff with the suspect’s authorities.
