India outbreak out of control, South Korea to evacuate from India

The Wuhan pneumonia (new coronavirus disease, COVID-19) epidemic in India is out of control, with nearly 400,000 people diagnosed and a record 3,689 deaths in a single day, causing countries to worry about their expatriates in India, and the South Korean government has decided to evacuate them from India.

According to the Yonhap News Agency, the South Korean government decided to evacuate from India, and has arranged two evacuation flights this week on the 4th and 7th, carrying 173 and 221 South Korean citizens back home respectively. In the case of arrivals from India, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Africa and other places where the mutated virus originated, they will be immediately quarantined for two days and one night at a fixed location, and after a negative nucleic acid test, they will be transferred to their home quarantine at their place of residence in the country or at a personally arranged quarantine location.

Due to the outbreak of the disease in India, South Korea has announced the suspension of all flights to and from India on the 24th of last month, and only evacuation flights are allowed.
