Blame the anti-epidemic supplies stuck! Bollywood actor tweets naming Chinese diplomatic unit

According to Chinese media reports, Bollywood actor Sonu Sood tweeted that many life-saving supplies are stuck in China and specifically tagged Chinese diplomatic units for release.

Sonu Sood’s tweet reads “We are trying to ship hundreds of oxygen machines to India. We must regret to say that many of our shipments are blocked in China. And in India, we are losing lives every minute. I ask the Chinese Ambassador to India (@China_Amb_India) and the Chinese Communist Ministry of Foreign Affairs (@mfa_China) to help clear our shipments so we can save lives.”

Chinese Ambassador to India Sun Weidong also responded later on Twitter, “Mr. Sood, (we) took note of the content of your tweet. China will do its best to support India in fighting the new crown pneumonia outbreak. As far as I know, China’s cargo flights to India are operating normally. In the past two weeks, there were 61 cargo flights from China to India.”

In fact, according to the Times of India, Sichuan Airlines Logistics, a subsidiary of China’s state-run Sichuan Airlines, has suspended cargo flights on six routes, including Xi’an-Delhi, since April 26, in order to face the sudden change in the Indian epidemic and reduce the number of imported cases from abroad, with a preliminary decision to suspend flights for 15 days. The initial decision to suspend flights for 15 days has seriously interfered with the delivery of medical supplies.
