ID card checks everywhere in Beijing, even on foot

Chen Mingyu told reporters, “Yesterday (29th) when I went to the post office to buy an envelope, my ID was checked, and then I was taken to the Fuyu Street police station, and the police let me go after multiple verifications and confirmed that I hadn’t done anything.”

Today, Chen Mingyu went to the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau and then wandered around the neighborhood. Near 5 p.m., he was checked for ID again near the National Grand Theater and then taken to the Beijing Tiananmen Branch Public Security Brigade.

Chen Mingyu revealed, “There are 12 people from Chongqing in here, I saw He Yan, Yan Xiangju, some do not know what the name, and do not know how to get in, but also be locked up here. There are ID checks everywhere in Beijing, and we are walking anyway.”

Entering Jiujingzhuang twice a day

According to friends who are familiar with Yan Xiangju, she and her daughter He Yan were stopped three times in Beijing in April: on April 19, they were sent to Jiugingzhuang, yesterday they were taken to Fuyu Street Police Station, today they were taken to Tiananmen Public Security Brigade, and now they have been sent to Jiugingzhuang again.

On April 19, after being intercepted in Beijing, He Yan and her mother were taken away by two men at the Jiujingzhuang reception center, where they were put into a car and forced out of the car when it stopped on the main road about 100 meters away from the reception center.

After getting out of the car, mother and daughter He Yan returned to the door of the reception center and called the Beijing 110 police. The Fengtai District Public Security Bureau Majialou Police Station responded to the police, and He Yan told the police that her mother was taken to the car and then thrown on the road. Then, the mother and daughter were brought back to the relief center by the police, and again security checks into the relief center hall.

At around 10:00 p.m. that night, Yan Xiangju felt extremely unwell and the police informed 120 to take her to Nanyuan Hospital, accompanied by He Yan.

Chongqing authorities set up a trap to keep them in Beijing

The friend said, “Yan Xiangju was repeatedly intercepted and kidnapped by local authorities in Beijing for defending her rights over land expropriation and demolition, and also set up several times to throw her on the streets of Beijing, and then created fake materials to frame Yan Xiangju as being stranded in Beijing and refusing to return to Chongqing.”

In March 2019, two men claiming to be staff members of the Cuiyun Street Office in Chongqing’s Liangjiang New Area said they would take Yan Xiangju back to Chongqing, and when the taxi the three took drove to Kaiyang Bridge, the two men tricked Yan Xiangju into getting out of the taxi and quickly disappeared with the taxi.

In June 2019, two women claiming to be staff of the Cuiyun Street Office and a man claiming to be a police officer from the Cuiyun Police Station said they would take Yan Xiangju back to Chongqing, four people in Taoran Bridge North, two women and a man quickly got into a taxi and unlocked the door to prevent Yan Xiangju from getting into the car. The man in the passenger compartment got out and dragged Yan’s hand away, and the taxi quickly drove away, while the man ran away.

After that, someone revealed to Yan Xiangju that the Chongqing authorities had made false materials to “pick up Yan Xiangju to return to Chongqing, and Yan Xiangju did not leave.

On the evening of October 26, 2020, Yan Xiangju’s mother and daughter were sent to the Jiujingzhuang reception center, where they were violently dragged away by unidentified people and deliberately physically injured that night.

In fact, no one spoke to her mother and daughter between the time they entered the reception center and the time they were violently dragged away. Since then there have been rumors that “the government picked up Yan Xiangju to leave, and Yan Xiangju did not leave.”

Mother and daughter’s rights for 18 years repeatedly retaliated against

Yan Xiangju’s family land and houses were forcibly expropriated and demolished, the fate of collective assets was unknown, and the flower market she operated was not extorted, and then beaten, smashed, robbed, copied and stolen, and the public security authorities did not act after reporting the case, so she has been defending her rights for 18 years.

Yan Xiangju has been kidnapped, illegally detained, and beaten to the point of breaking several bones and tendons during her defense of her rights. Her daughter, He Yan, was kidnapped, illegally detained, robbed of many cell phones, and beaten to the point of head trauma many times.
