On Friday, April 29, members of the U.S. House and Senate Armed Services Committees confirmed to NBC that investigative briefings indicate that there have been multiple suspected “Havana syndrome” attacks on U.S. soil. The mysterious attacks are suspected to be “Havana syndrome”. At present, federal agencies have launched an investigation, the White House defense officials said, China and Russia may be behind.
The so-called “Havana syndrome” refers to a number of staff members of the U.S. Embassy in Havana, Cuba, who have suffered from unexplained headaches, tinnitus and vertigo since 2016, with some victims developing chronic illnesses. The investigation revealed that the mysterious brain injuries were likely caused by some form of “directed pulsed radiofrequency energy” device.
Last November, an official of the National Security Council reportedly fell ill with an “unspecified health condition” such as nausea and difficulty near the Oval Lawn south of the White House.
Shortly after Thanksgiving 2019, another NSC official was walking her dog in the Washington suburb of Arlington when a man got out of a parked van, and when the man passed her, her dog immediately convulsed and she also experienced tinnitus, headache and nausea.
It is known that a suspected “directed energy” attack against federal government personnel also occurred in Miami. These officials have symptoms similar to “Havana Syndrome”.
Currently, the CIA, State Department and Pentagon have launched investigations. A White House spokesperson also said in a statement, “The White House is working closely with departments and agencies to address unexplained health incidents and ensure the safety of Americans around the world.”
The National Academy of Sciences study concluded that such directed pulsed radio frequencies, may be the most plausible explanation for the symptoms. But the report did not indicate the energy source causing the illness or whether it was an attack.
Defense officials say the threat of “directed energy” attacks is growing around the world, including in Europe and the U.S., and that the number of such attacks against U.S. military personnel is increasing. While investigations into these incidents have not been conclusive and it is not possible to determine who is leading these mysterious attacks, it is possible that the Chinese Communist Party or Russia is behind them.
Members of Congress have now pressed Biden administration officials to be more transparent in disclosing more information to members of Congress and the public about the suspected attacks and the ongoing investigations.
Such mysterious attacks have also occurred in Canada, where nine Canadian diplomats recently wrote a joint letter to Canada’s foreign minister protesting the Canadian government’s withholding of information about brain damage caused by “Havana Syndrome,” leaving at least 25 Canadian diplomats, who have suffered suspected “Havana Syndrome” attacks, without adequate information. At least 25 Canadian diplomats who have suffered suspected “Havana Syndrome” attacks have been unable to fully understand the risks they face.
In China, many visitors and dissidents have also claimed in recent years that they have been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party’s sonic or microwave weapons, resulting in physical and psychological damage, but have had no recourse to complain, and have been suspected of being persecuted with delusions of grandeur, or of being mentally ill.
Jia Gao, the son of pro-democracy activist and former secretary-general of the Shanxi Science and Technology Experts Association Jia A, a scientist by training, suddenly developed an inability to concentrate, dramatic memory loss, panic and nervousness, and insomnia after settling in New Zealand, and six months later, also developed a central nervous system dysfunction that left him basically unable to speak or think. He suddenly turned from quick thinking to thinking disorder, which baffled many people.
