Trump’s personal lawyer Giuliani under investigation, apartment raided and searched

Federal investigators today searched Giuliani’s New York City apartment with a search warrant, the lawyer for former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani said today. Giuliani served as a personal lawyer for former U.S. President Donald Trump years after he left office as mayor.

Reuters, citing The New York Times, reported that federal agents seized electronic devices to strengthen the criminal investigation of Giuliani (Rudolph Giuliani).

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan are continuing to investigate Giuliani’s business dealings in Ukraine.

Giuliani’s attorney, Bob Costello, confirmed that authorities are conducting the search. Giuliani did not immediately return a request for comment.

Two of Giuliani’s former business partners, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, have been charged with violating political contribution rules and other charges.

Parnas and Fruman were instrumental in helping Giuliani uncover information against incumbent Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, in advance of the 2020 U.S. election. The two men were also involved in what the prosecution alleges was the firing of then-U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch.
