India Assam ground cattle turn over Size 6.0

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 struck Assam province in northeastern India this morning, with residents reporting damage to buildings, but there were no immediate reports of casualties.

AFP reports that the U.S. Geological Survey (US Geological Survey) said the quake was 6.0 in magnitude, with the epicenter in the hilly region of India-Bhutan border, and the epicenter was relatively shallow at a depth of only 29 kilometers.

Earlier, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) said the quake had a magnitude of 6.2.

Residents of Guwahati, the capital of Assam province, about 150 kilometers south of the epicenter, said the quake caused buildings to shake left and right and many cracks in walls, and at least two larger aftershocks were felt afterward.
