The NOQ Report (April 27) reported that listening to the Hollywood radical elite, or “Black Lives Matter” horsemen, it seems that most Americans, especially black Americans, hate the police. However, that’s not the truth; the vast majority of black Americans think their local police are doing a good job, a message that comes from a recent CBS News/YouGov poll conducted after the conviction of former police officer Derek Chauvin. This is a clear case of mainstream contextual narratives failing to translate into real-world perspectives.
According to the poll, 17 percent of blacks think their local police are doing a “very good job,” while a whopping 53 percent think their local police are doing a “good job. Only 30 percent of black Americans think their local police are doing a very bad or somewhat bad job.
The poll’s results are contrary to the propaganda of the radical leftist circles that control most of the mainstream media. Black Lives Mighty and Antifa say that all or most police are bad and that this perception is supported by the American people. But both claims are false, and the vast majority of police officers receive no credible complaints of racism, police brutality or misconduct unbecoming of a law enforcement officer.
The results of this poll prove that black Americans feel very similarly about police officers as white Americans, with only a 12 percent difference between the two races in their approval of the job performance of local law enforcement. While the CBS News/YouGov poll, only highlighted white and black respondents, what do Hispanics, Asians, Native Americans or other racial groups think? The results are likely to be very similar.
As for Hollywood, they spent the night during the Oscars generally bashing law enforcement and praising the conviction of Shovan, yet they had no audience, and Sunday’s Oscars were the lowest-rated in the awards’ history.
In an ideal world, police could spend most of their work time stopping and catching criminals. Today, Black Lives Matter and other leftist groups want people to not focus positively on the police, but what police officers need to know is that most of us support the police.
