Modifying the registry this way will permanently disable the Bing search engine in win10

One of the components of Windows 10 is the built-in search, which allows you to search for files and applications on your computer as well as search for information on the internet. The search engine it uses is the Bing search engine, which is owned by Microsoft itself. The latest update to the Win10 operating system allows users to permanently disable Bing to speed up local searches.

Disabling Bing makes it impossible to search for information on the Internet through the built-in search system, which can improve the speed and quality of local computer searches so that users can find the files they need faster without having to wait for the system to perform a search, including on the Internet.

Modifying the registry in this way will permanently disable the Bing search engine in win10.
It is worth noting that previously it was possible to disable Bing using the Set BingSearchEnabled registry item, but this has been removed in the windows 10 May 2020 update. However, in the latest update, Microsoft has added a registry option that allows users to disable Bing search engine using the new DisableSearchBoxSuggestions option. To do this, one must navigate to the following path in the Windows registry:Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer, if there is no Explorer folder, then the folder must be created, and then, in the Explorer Right click on an empty space in the folder, create a new DWORD value called “DisableSearchBoxSuggestions” and set it to “1”, then, you must close the registry and Restart Windows to make the changes take effect.
