A man driving his friend out in the early morning, lost control and crashed into a gas station, he was trapped in the car and sent to the hospital for rescue and died, his girlfriend was slightly injured, witnesses heard her crying “do not call the police”, the police searched the evidence afterwards to understand the reason.
According to reports, Taichung City Fire Department was reported at 4:00 a.m. today that a man surnamed Ye drove a car with a woman surnamed Lai through the Houli district and crashed into a gas station for unknown reasons. The police found that the 19-year-old woman was only slightly injured, but the man trapped in the car could not move, has lost signs of life. Ye man was rescued and sent to the hospital, but still died of his injuries.
Witnesses said that they did not hear the sound of brakes and heard a loud bang, after the minibus hit the gas station, and then rammed the gas island management room; someone heard the woman crying “do not call the police”.
The police searched the scene and found two packages of drugs in the car, and found that Lai was a wanted person in the Taichung District Court fraud case, and will first be transferred to the case. Ye man has ruled out drunk driving, as for who the drugs are, whether toxic driving and the cause of the accident, are yet to be clarified.
The police said that they are currently accessing relevant monitor images and questioning Lai to clarify the cause of the accident.
