Kelsang Gyantsen: Chinese Communist Party creates fake Panchen to manipulate future Dalai Lama reincarnation

Last year, the Panchen Lama, Gendun Choekyi Nyima, disappeared for 25 years. The Chinese Foreign Ministry claimed that he had graduated from university, had a stable career, and did not want to be disturbed from his “normal life at present. The Tibetan-Taiwan Human Rights Link held a seminar on “The Panchen Lama who disappeared for 26 years” in Taipei on the 25th, and the chairman of the board, Zhaxi Tsering, pointed out that the Chinese Communist Party wants to influence the choice of the 15th Dalai Lama, and Tibetans will not believe the lies fabricated by the Chinese Communist Party.

On May 17, 1995, three days after he was recognized by the Dalai Lama as the 11th Panchen Lama, he was abducted and disappeared with his family by the Chinese Communist Party. He was six years old at the time. The U.S. State Department recently called on the Chinese government to immediately release his whereabouts and allow the U.S. to meet with him personally.

Taiwan Human Rights Groups Call for Continued International Pressure on Beijing to Release the Panchen Lama

Lin Xinyi, director of the Taiwan Human Rights Link in Tibet, called for “the release of the Panchen Lama so that he can meet with everyone and let everyone know what his real situation is. The UN Panel on Enforced Disappearances, the Children’s Rights Group, has been asking China about the part of the Panchen Lama, and we feel that this action must not stop.”

Tibetan Administrative Central Committee and representative in Taiwan Kelsang Khensen pointed out at the Taipei symposium that the Dalai Lama and the Panchen Lama are each other’s teachers and disciples, and in the hearts of Tibetans are like the sun and the moon, whoever passes away first goes in search of the other’s reincarnated spiritual child, and Tibetans only believe that the two identify each other’s reincarnated spiritual child. The Chinese Communist Party kidnapped the Panchen Lama and created a “fake Panchen” as an attempt to manipulate the reincarnation of the 14th Dalai Lama.

Kelsang Gyantsen said, “Why is it that all of a sudden in the last few years there are voices saying that the Panchen Lama is still alive and well? Is he living a good life? Why is this voice being raised? Because reincarnation has become the biggest strategic focus of the game between the Chinese Communist Party and the Dalai Lama or the Tibetan government in exile. Who holds the Dalai Lama? Whoever holds the initiative in Tibet.”

Kelsang Gyantsen mentioned that the Chinese government did not recognize the Panchen Lama as recognized by the Dalai Lama and allocated 6 million to set up a working group to search for the reincarnation of the 10th Panchen Lama, and searched for many people from 1989 to 1994. In 1995, when he was working in the United Front Work Department of Ganzi Autonomous Prefecture, he personally participated in calling local Rinpoches and living Buddhas to oppose the Panchen Lama recognized by the Dalai Lama and to support the false Panchen recognized by the Chinese Communist Party.

The Chinese Communist Party uses the Panchen Lama to draw Tibetans to cooperate or to imprison and abuse them

During the seminar, Kelsang Gyantsen mentioned that the Chinese Communist Party had been using the 10th Panchen Lama, Choekyi Gyantsan, to send a letter to him in 1948, when he was only 10 years old, to congratulate the Liberation Army on its entry into Tibet. After the Dalai Lama’s exile, the CCP used him as the head of the Preparatory Committee of the Tibet Autonomous Region and asked him to investigate the issue of the CCP’s entry into Tibet. On the surface, Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai encouraged the Panchen Lama to speak the truth. However, after the Panchen Lama wrote a 70,000-word book in 1962, listing the persecution of 99 percent of Tibetan monasteries and the expansion of the Chinese Communist Party’s crackdown in Tibet and its policy of exterminating clans and religions, he was characterized as anti-Party and treasonous, and was severely criticized.

Kelsang Gyantsen said, “In 1964, the Panchen Lama spoke at a meeting of 10,000 Tibetans, saying ‘Long live the Dalai Lama’, ‘The Dalai Lama is the supreme leader of Tibet’, ‘Tibet is an After preaching ‘Long live the Dalai Lama,’ ‘The Dalai Lama is the supreme leader of Tibet,’ ‘Tibet is an independent country,’ and ‘Tibetans have the right to pursue independence,’ he was removed from all positions, arrested and imprisoned in 1966, and was not released until 1978, during which time there were many criticisms, including forcing him to eat shit and being abused.”

Kelsang Gyantsen mentioned that in 1982 the Panchen Lama was released from prison and pushed for the restoration of Tibetan language education in schools, which was the golden age of the Tibetan nation. In 1987-89, many Tibetan protests broke out in Lhasa, Tibet, and there were university student protests in Beijing. The other two were the Dalai Lama and the first Tibetan Communist Party member, Pintsho Wangjie.

The 10th Panchen’s death is suspicious, senior Tibetan official: no remains can be seen

The 10th Panchen Lama died of a myocardial infarction, and the Tibetans could not see his body, so the cause of death is very suspicious.

During the seminar, an audience member asked about the influence of the fake Panchen appointed by the Chinese Communist Party.

Fake Panchen must mobilize fake followers if no one greets him

Kelsang Gyantsen revealed that the CCP, knowing that the appointed fake Panchen has no influence, once held a secret meeting to consult people inside China and Tibet on how to increase the influence of the Panchen it had identified, and the consensus reached was that the Dalai Lama’s approval must be obtained, but the decision-making side of the CCP said it was impossible. The second solution was that Banchen could not stay in Beijing and that he should be allowed to go around Tibet to preach, give alms and give money.

Kelsang Gyantsen said, “What if he is asked to go to Tibet to do activities and do ten rounds of vajra pujas, but it turns out that no one attends? The CCP needs to gather these retired cadres, students, and civil servants and have them line up and take pictures again.”

Kelsang Gyantsen recalled that when the 10th Panchen Master came to the Daofu County School in Kham where he attended in 1986, the five-kilometer-long crowd was only there to pay homage to him and offer hadeeths, and was greatly admired by Tibetans.
