After the Shanghai Auto Show, the Chinese Communist Party’s official media has been at full throttle to “round up” Tesla electric cars, and the Chinese Communist Party has been accused of being the mastermind behind the incident. A few days ago, the official crackdown is suspected to have escalated, with Guangzhou’s traffic department banning Tesla cars from several roads.

On Friday (April 23), online videos showed that several road sections in Guangzhou did not allow Tesla on the road, with traffic police or road administration managers stopping them at intersections, and Tesla owners had to drive around the road.
A land media collected online Tesla owners reported that several sections of Guangzhou have been banned from Tesla models on Friday, and several Tesla models were stopped at the entrance of highways or expressways, and the owners were prevented from continuing forward by traffic department personnel, but were not told the specific reasons. Other brands of vehicles have been allowed to travel unimpeded.
According to online posts or chat records of Tesla owners, the intercepted Tesla included Guangzhou Tianhe passenger station, Huangpu Bridge, Guangshan toll station, Tongtai Road and many other road sections, and the intercepted Tesla models included Model X, Model 3 and Model S and almost the whole series of models.

There have been some signs of “boycotting Tesla” on the mainland after the Chinese Communist Party’s official media “besieged” Tesla, with a video circulating on the Internet showing a parking lot attendant not allowing Tesla to enter the lot. But this time, the official traffic department of Guangzhou has taken direct action to restrict the passage of Tesla, which may indicate that the authorities have escalated their crackdown on Tesla.
Tesla is being boycotted by all the people in China?
After a protest by a female Tesla owner at the Shanghai Auto Show, the Chinese mainland public launched a Cultural Revolution-style criticism against Tesla, and even parking lot attendants banned Tesla vehicles from entering the parking lot, claiming that there were problems with the Tesla braking system.
The Party media has a long history of targeting Tesla. On April 19 this year, a young woman made a scene at the Tesla booth at the Shanghai Auto Show, accusing Tesla of brake failure, and the official media then set off another round of attacks on Tesla. External analysis of the incident may be driven by the Chinese Communist Party, the possible reasons are three: First, Tesla in China to continue to reduce the price of sales, so that those who are behind the technology of domestic electric vehicles difficult to fight; second, the Chinese Communist Party to repeat the theft of foreign technology trilogy – the introduction, copying, driving away; third, to refuse to accept the Chinese Communist Party “regulation The third is to put pressure on Tesla, which refuses to accept the CCP’s “regulation” and promotes the “Starlink” Internet.
After the official media spoke out, the Chinese Communist Party regulators also stepped in to put pressure on Tesla to provide the driving data of the vehicles involved. Tesla was forced to compromise and made the data available to the public at the time of the incident. The data showed that Tesla’s braking system was working normally, and it was highly suspicious that the owner was involved in a high-speed crash. This has largely calmed public opinion. However, there are still experts quoted by the land media that the driving data shows that Tesla’s braking system is likely to have problems.
