The U.S. and the U.K. are working together in the Asia-Pacific region, and the Chinese Communist Party cannot sleep or eat well.

The UK is preparing to send its newest aircraft carrier battle group, HMS Elizabeth, to the Asia-Pacific region to conduct military exercises with the US and Japanese militaries, a recent news story that has received little attention.

Geopolitically speaking, the U.K. doesn’t really have many major interests in the Asia-Pacific region anymore, except for Hong Kong, which is its old colony. Australia and New Zealand are allies of the Five Eyes Alliance, but Australia and New Zealand have each become so powerful that they do not need to be taken care of by the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom sent aircraft carriers to the Asia-Pacific region, of course, with the intention of demonstrating its strength to China, in order to have a little more bottom line to fight with China on the Hong Kong issue.

The British are very sophisticated in international politics, and of course, they always put their own interests first. Once upon a time, it was a sunset empire with a broad international perspective, but later, as the country’s power slowly declined and most of its colonies became independent, Britain’s influence declined and it slowly withdrew from the center of the world.

By all means, there was no need for Britain to send an aircraft carrier to the Asia-Pacific, which would have cost money and given the CCP a sense of provocation, but to this day, Britain is finally unable to sit still.

First of all, the CCP openly tore up the Sino-British Joint Declaration, which was a great national shame for Britain. The signing of the Sino-British Joint Declaration and the return of Hong Kong to Britain was a landmark event in British history, and Hong Kong was always the last colony under British jurisdiction with international status.

Although reluctantly, but because of the situation, it had to be so. It was a solemn promise from Britain to the people of the old colony to leave Hong Kong intact to the Chinese Communist Party and to maintain the original way of life of the Hong Kong people. It was a blatant humiliation for the British to think that the Chinese Communist Party would dare to tear up the Joint Declaration registered at the United Nations.

One can only go back on one’s word if one despises one’s opponent, because one is condescending and reckless, and one is not afraid of any retaliatory action on your part. But on the side being teased, it’s the trampling of one’s own dignity, the despising of one’s own strength, and for an old empire that once had global glory, it’s unbearable.

But until the U.S. government openly changes its face with the CCP, the British do not dare to act, because on their own, they will not get a response from the Western world as a whole, and risk the bad consequences of feuding with the CCP and being pursued diplomatically by the CCP. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) hopes most of all that the Western world will each have its own agenda, and each will work with the CCP, and the CCP will profit from the Western world’s intrigue.

But the CCP has done so many bad things in the United States that Americans wake up one morning and realize that something bad has happened, that half of the country has fallen into enemy hands. Trump, with his resolute character of “do-or-die” and “do-or-die”, has already defeated the CCP in just over half a year, and has retreated back to China in disgrace.

Now that the United States, together with Japan, Australia, India and other Asian powers, has begun to form an encirclement of the CCP, the British see the time as ripe and want to get back a little dignity for themselves.

Before that, the British had only taken some measures to help the Hong Kong people in response to the BNO issue, but now they are sending aircraft carriers to Asia in a brazen manner, which is a clear indication that they are not getting along with the Chinese Communist Party. No one knows whether war will be fought or not, but the South China Sea is the high seas, anyone can come, and coming is a kind of statement, both to the CPC demonstration, but also to the Hong Kong people’s appeasement. At the very least, it proves that Britain, as the old sovereign state of Hong Kong, has still not abandoned its responsibilities, has still not abandoned the people of Hong Kong, and that Britain will continue to play its role in the Asia-Pacific region as an ally of the United States.

This is more symbolic than real, but by sending aircraft carriers, Britain has at least demonstrated to other European countries that the West will always stand together when needed, and that no Western country will ever be at odds with the Chinese Communist Party, which is what makes the Chinese Communist Party so uncomfortable. They now realize that they have offended not only the United States, but also the whole world, and now that their opponents are invading their homes one by one, how can they rest easy?

In any case, this is a good thing for the people of Hong Kong. How can a mere seven million people in Hong Kong stand up to the Chinese Communist Party, with its nine million members and millions of armed troops? Hong Kong can only hope for the compassion and justice of the international community. We have to wait patiently and endure the hardships.

Something big is brewing, the offense and the defense are transforming, and when the confrontation between good and evil reaches a certain level, there will be a final decisive battle.
